Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Thursday 11th January 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well
Morning Guys!
Not feeling too good and have been up for the past hour. Had some nightmares which have unsettled me abit:eek:
WM will go on shortly, DW at lunch and loo cleaned. Today I also need to sort some paperwork and get a couple of letters off.
Have hospital first thing then must get a few items of food that we have completely run out of.
Hope everyone else is ok today.
Breakie: Bacon Roll
Lunch: Bubble and Squeak (leftovers from last night)
Dinner: Shepards Pie & Veg (made last week when double batched)
Will catch up later.

DLB your terrible neighbours sound just like my old ones we bought our house from the council and she didn't find out for 4 years and they had a new fence put up and they said that when it was being done they wouldn't need to get in my garden you can imagine what I said when coming back from the school run to find all these men in my garden leaving mess everywhere and pulling the chain link fence down that the council put up 5 years before I billed them for the mess the fence and trespass he went and phoned the council and told them he wouldn't pay they told him he had to as he had been on private property as we owned the house not them oh that was a wonderful moment
anyway I'm waffling now best get on with some jobs
((((hugs)))) to all
have a good day
pam xxI didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you

Morning all!
MrsMix, hope your littlies are better soon.
Start of my 5-day weekend today :j so today is tidying the house. Need to bake, too, as all the muffins are gone. Have a request for lemon drizzle, and will make some biscuits for lunch boxes. Have a *rubber chicken* in the fridge (free range - after watching Hugh FW last year  no battery hens will again pass our threshold - unless they're rescued and go with our hens). Experimenting with slow roasting that in the Rayburn (it's permanently on low, so will cook it all day, and see what happens).
Starting to compile the Complete Meal Planner Collection, which will be interestingClosely followed by compiling my meal plan for next week.
Back to choir tonight, so need to have plenty of water today. I had a bit of a tickly cough yesterday, so don't want that flaring up.
Off tomorrow to look for a new (to us, but a couple of years old) car. As I mentioned DH had a promotion before Christmas, which came with a car allowance. He's done the sums and we agree that we're better to take the cash offered in lieu of a car, buy our own, and put the excess into the bank. More towards our smallholding account :T Don't enjoy buying cars, so need to steel myself.
Rzl, thanks for the info about *clipper* yesterday. I had no idea  When it was first mentioned, I thought it was *clippie* - someone who checks bus tickets, but I now realise my mistake
Have fun, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Hello every-one, wind is howling around the house as i type.Like some-one else said, it sounds really scary. I didnt get the paperwork done that i said i would do last night,as i was shattered and only would have made mistakes. I watched a bit of Tv and also saw jackie on BB get booted out. Very strange woman but i did feel sorry for her daughter.
Today i will try to attack this dreaded paperwork and also do the usual housework. No idea what we have for dinner tonight. Hope this wind calms down. Hugs to those who are unwell/depressed etc. Have a good day, Love Elaine x“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0
