Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 5th January 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning everyone.
Where is the year going already?
I managed to get the decorations down yesterday and clean up and pack all that away. We have quite a few (inside only), so it's quite a chore.
So Christmas is definately finished.
Went shopping again for more e-bay stock and did quite well. I hope that it all sells now as I have a bit of investment in it.
Today is the last day off before work again. Don't know what to do really. I may have to spend some time, sorting stuff. Every drawer and cupboard is full of junk, so big turn out is looming.
What do you do with everything? Old printers? bits of this and that, it all works, but no one wants it anymore.
Anyway Have a nice day.......

Morning N9eav and all to follow
Back at work yet again. I seem to spend my life here!! Although I did leave on time again yesterday
Have managed to work out about 8 hours overtime for this month at the moment. Never know if a bit more might pop up. I don't bother asking for it now, I just hand in a form at the end of the month!:D I figure as long as I don't take the mick, it should be fine. After all I'm getting stories for the good of the station, not my health!
Oh I can't be bothered today, but guess I'd better do something.

Good Morning All
Its Friday yipee.
Lots to do today, still havnt bought anything in the sales but has my iron packed up last night hope to go into town and find a reduced one today. Also need to bank a cheque which I hope comes in the post today.
Just finishing a cup of tea then need to toast some crumpets for DS & make both childrens packed lunches as OH forgot them last night. Did a big roast and have some washing up that couldnt fit in the dw, so need to do that and empty the dw and clean the kitchen. This is my one thing that MUST be done before I leave for the school run.
Have a riding lesson this morning, last time I rode I fell off so fingers crossed that I stay on top today. Think I will feel it with my muscles today as havnt been for a couple of weeks.
This afternoon will hopefully complete my FL jobs. Am up straight on the ironing at the mom (a new years resolution) so will only have a little to do tomorrow.
L - left over chicken with salad

Morning all,
I don't manage to post to this section very often, but I thought I'd pop in and say hello. Been at work all week and so thankful it's Friday.
Best of luck to N9eav with the clearing out. Perhaps have a chat with a few friends and see if they or their kids would appreciate eg the old printer. We once got rid of an old bike by leaving it outside with a sign saying - free. It must have taken only about an hour for it to go.
Best wishes to scuzz too on the overtime front. Every little helps as they say.
Today - I need to drop off another charity bag, nip to Superdrug to see if they have any bargains left to put by as pressies, avoid anyone with a cold (which seems to be everyone!) and tidy the house.
Have a great Friday everyone,

Morning all
I had one heck of a day yesterday!! I had my new sofa delivered only to find it wouldnt fit in the door:eek: They had to take the front room window out to get it in:rotfl: but................... it's hugeeeee in my opinion it's too bigwhen the delivery men left I sat and sobbed as I was so dissapointed that I had made a huge expensive mistake:o But today I feel a little brighter, I love the sofa and I am sure I will get used to it ( she hopes):rotfl:
Someone was supposed to come and see our old leather suite last night but they never turned up:mad: why are people so rude
This weekend I have my nephew staying with me which I am looking forward to:T Need to do a little shop later on. I have been good with my healthy eating, I am sat here drinking boiling water with 2 slices of fresh lemon in it to kick start my body at the begining of the day!
I am rambling now, I will shut up:D
Have a good day everyone:T0 -
Good morning everyone. :hello:
Mr Pink and I went out for a lovely meal last night…..the food was great and it was really good to spend some quality time together after the mayhem of Christmas.
Today we're doing what was planned for yesterday but didn't happen……..a trip to the factory outlet. With luck we'll pick up a few bargains.
Tonights tea is to be a reduced price organic pork joint with apples, dijonaise mustard, red onions and cream done in the slow cooker………it's a bit of an experiment which may or may not work, but I'm trying to use up everything in the fridge and freezer this month. Let's just hope it's edible or that they are hungry enough when we get home not to notice that it isn’t.
Amie, sorry to hear about your gum. Good luck at the dentist!
Ok, I'd better go and get myself organised. Catch up with you all later.
Have a good day.

Good MORNING everyone
Yipee!!!! I managed to get up before 8am at last! Now I just have to fight to stay awake ALL day so that I get to bed at a sensible time (why oh why do they put the good tv on so late it finishes gone 11?)
N9eave - have you thought about freecylcing the things you don't want/need? Even if things are really old someone might be glad of them.
Essex girl - hope you have a lovely time and stay firmly glued to the saddle. I'd love to be going too!
Morning also to Scuzz and Amie (hope the dentist can get you sorted soon)
Finally got another assignment finished yesterday, and boy does that feel good! It took me ALL day (bar cooking/eating times). It wasn't a hard assignment 'academically' - just felt like a waste of time as it was more a case of collating information on products. I've one assignment left - hopefullyI can get it done today.
Flying has had to go on the back burner while I got this lot out of the way, but the bits that I did at the start of the week have enabled me to crack on without feeling guilty - but I'm off to check in before I'm deemed AWOL, lol.
I also need to check in on the DFW board with my spends - or I'll start overspending again.
OS today and yesterday - bread made and all meals hc from scratch.
Not a lot I know, but more than it would have been under these circumstances this time last year - and it's all thanks to this board and it's wonderfull members.
Hugs to you all (bet loads have posted since... I would've been 5th when I started to type....)
Kaz x
Edited Ps Ageandjo - I'm sure you'll come to love your sofa. Much as mine is HUGE and old, nothing is so snuggly comfy as this one - it's the only thing that's saved me from splashing out on a new one (that I can't afford, lol) It's like the chairs on the old lemsip adverts - totally snuggles you in.January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far)
Someone burst my bubble and I lost the plot so no idea what I spent now...Other Jan :- Petrol £20.41, Clothes £8.50, House £3.I will try to work it out.

Lost 2lbs since Christmas - a good start to my weigh loss. just another 13lbs to go :rotfl:
Have a great day everyone
