  • Sales shopping for the smaller things , deodrant , talc etc. pigsback vouchers for everything else
  • Will keep my signature up to date and will aim to only use the funds raised through that (along with clubcard boots card and nectar points!) to pay for Christmas 2007!
  • Seeing as after I had wrapped all this years' pressies I appear to still have 4 or 5 archive boxes full of things, I have a feeling that I am already pretty much bought up for this year - especially as we've also decided 'no more presents to adults' - just got to sort through it and see how I can spread it around.

Add to that some careful sales shopping for larger toys for the kids, about £80 worth of vouchers for various places, and £50 worth of catalogue commission already saved, and I'm well on the way to a very inexpensive year :D

One of the ways I save cash for christmas is to get my child benefit payed into the post office card account, I have 2 kids, unsure how much goes in every 4 weeks, but I draw out £25 a week for bits and pieces (bread milk etc) and leave the difference to build up. Christmas 2006 I had £175 to spend on food shopping and the last of the pressies, as I did draw extra money on weeks when I was skint. Drew money out on saturday and worked out how much is saved so far, and already I have £16, will start a signature with progress later on, hope its ok posting my savings idea here, if not, please move it where it should be.
