Wow - I'm so pleased to find others doing what I do for Christmas... :T :rotfl:

Last year I collected Pigsback points (£160 John Lewis vouchers - a joint effort together with Mr P, who "happily" donates his vouchers for a quiet life!! :j ), Boots points (£108 - lots gained through developing photos for work, combined with the triple points offers - a couple of photo developing sessions coincided with triple point weekends - unplanned but very welcome!!), Asda £2 pricing "mistakes" (£18), Morrisons petrol miles (£35), £17.11 on WHSmith card - mostly gained through free "get 200/300 points when you spend £5" vouchers gained via MSE!!

I also try and save £50/month towards Christmas costs - although last year, I did so well on the freebies that I didn't need the £600 I saved, so its still in the savings account as a "buffer" - yippee!!

So, as at right now, the Piglet 2007 Christmas account stands at:

£0.03p on the Boots card (a result of purchasing last minute perfume for Mummy Piglet on the day before Christmas Eve - "Please can you tell me how much is on my card?", "You have £30.03", "In that case, I will take a £30 Givenchy Organza, thank you very much!" - now how about that for a cheapy stocking filler...?!?! Mummy Piglet was very pleased, by the way!)
We have about 3,400 "miles" on the Morrisons petrol card (need to get to about 5,000 (I think it is actually 4,999) for a £5 voucher, to be converted into the first 5 x £1 stickers on a Christmas card...and then we're on our way!).
£10 John Lewis voucher ordered via Pigsback yesterday. My aim this year (maybe a little ambitious, but we'll see...) is to get 1 x £10 voucher per month for me and to encourage Mr P to do the same - I nag him every evening to log on and do the piggyclicks on the freebies board...! Bless him, he does it most evenings - like I said, he likes a quiet life, so is fairly agreeable...when I spread my "clutch" of JL vouchers in front of him last year before setting out Christmas shopping, he was suitably impressed (for impressed, read "relieved"!!) so I suspect he will be suitably "agreeable" when it comes to piggyclicking this year - he won a crossword last year and I won nothing, so he is pretty pleased with himself...!

Done a Boots haul this morning as I was worried leaving it until the further reductions came out there'd be nothing decent left.

    I bought
    • Karmatherapy Gift Set (wash bag + four minis + candle) was £15 now £7.50
    • Royal Jelly Gift Set (Glass Bowl + 3 minis + pouffe) was £12 now £6
    • Lavendar Gift Set (bath crystals, bath bomb, bath gel, body lotion, scented candle, + eye mask) was £10 now £5
    • Set of 3 Lavendar Soaps was £3 now £1.50

So £40 worth of stuff for £20... but it cost me nothing because I paid with my points :D

The Royal Jelly set will be wrapped and given as it is, the Lavendar gift set will be de-boxed and put into a hamper basket with two of the soaps, and the Karmatherapy stuff has also been split - the washbag for a "weekend away" kit for my friend, and the minis and candle into a hamper which I will add to throughout the year.

    So of the 36 presents that I will need in 2007, I have 6 completed and 4 started/ideas for and I haven't spent a penny :j

I know we aren't supposed to be "chatty" on this thread, but I just wanted to say how well everyone is doing so far :D

check out the reduced rolls of c.mas wrapping paper[particularly the metallic designs] which dont feature anything christmassy!
i can usually find rolls which have been reduced from £3 down to 50p, and this makes great expensive looking wrapping paper, suitable for use all year round.
then team it up with ribbon &bow sets which usually have about 75% off.
    sorted!!
