Hi, this is the Daily Thread for xx (add date). This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning all

    Awwwww (((((((((((((((((Nelski)))))))))))))))))

    I don't count my years anymore :o
Anyway, a nice lunch for four is planned today, in Richmond (South West London for those of you in far flung places), and there will be the customary drinks.. ;)

Then home in the afternoon where I intend to catch up with lots of paperwork - my job generates tons of it - and then I shall start planning my food shopping for the Christmas period. I can hear you gasp - relax folks. I live alone and don't have much cooking and stuff to do over the holidays, so it's not like it's too late for me. I have quite a bit of time this week, so I shall practise looking for the best prices.:D

I have Tesco, Sainsbury, Morrison, Asda, Iceland and Netto all fairly near me, so I can shop around with relative ease.

    Have a great day everyone!:j
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

Morning Nelski & Quasar and all that follows
    Happy Birthday Quasar

Bunny is coping well thru the night, I really thought it was the end, he's still not in the clear, but he's having a stable night. He's just had some dried food and his vitamin drink (have to cradle him like a baby so he can feed & drink). He's never the cuddly type, so its an honour to get a cuddle like this. Just hope we get plenty more fun out of him.
Kids took it well when they returned from their dad's. Finger's crossed from here.

OH's car has'nt been on ebay yet 2days and allready he's having a great auction.

DS & DD are having their Xmas parties at school today. DD is taking some sandwiches and DS is taking crisps. He didn't tell me until last night, so just aswell I did go shopping yesterday.

Caught up with the washing, just got to dry it now.

Anyway, going to get a drink myself, and try and get some sleep.

Have a good day all - Take care ((((hugs)))) to those who need them
    Love as usual xxx

    Morning all.

Back to work day. Woke up early as usual, but no problem, I will help the other half with the pack lunches before I go etc.
A 4 day week which should be nice this week and then Christmas party and so on and so on.
I still have the put up the outside lights on the house, but it's been too windy to go up the ladder. Today it will be too dark when I get home.... Hmmm. Better think of something.
I think most of the shopping is now done, but I will have to get some stocking fillers. Even though the kids are a bit older they still like their stockings filled.
I like to see stockings filled too, but that's a different story..:rotfl:
    Have a nice day

    Happy Birthday Quasar :bdaycake: :D

I failed at being OS yesterday - Tesco pizza for lunch  Miss tru heated up some tinned  soup then forgot about it and left it for half an hour, it separated and went a bit weird so that went in the bin. So she made a pot noodle  and knocked it onto the floor so she gave up and ate half of my pizza.

Oh the shame :o Not quite sure how I ended up in Tesco in the first place, I hate supermarkets :D

There was a woman who insisted on walking into everyone, she either tried to run you over with her trolley (well, you shouldn't expect her to do anything other than walk in a straight line  ) or she'd hit you with her shoulder on her way past. I got a HUGE amount of satisfaction of spotting her near the cheese, where I sped up and ploughed into her right shoulder. Her handbag fell off her shoulder and down to her elbow :DDo you think I need to get out more? :rotfl:

Mr tru is off work til the 27th. I'm going into work this morning, then we're off to Cirencester for the afternoon. Lots of ironing to do later gggrrrrrrrrrrr.

Advent calendar today - an angel :D

Morning everyone - well you've all got me chuckling with your posts and it's not yet 7am!
Happy Birthday Quasar - I do hope you have a great day and lovely meal.

I'm about to stick on me scruffs and take the dog for his morning wander. As per usual for this time of the morn it's a bit cold, dark and wet and not too appealing..... but I had one to many mince pies last night so I'd best try to shift them.
Last day in college before Christmas and we're booked in to have a meal at the college 'restraunt' (where all the budding Jamie Olivers are being trained... or should that be the next lot of McDonald managers?)
Well, I'd best get a shifty on - have to be out with the dog by 7 so I can be back to make porridge by 7:40.
    Best wishes to everyone
    Kaz x
PS - It's my 1000's post, and I though it belonged on OS daily (hence being on here before the dog walk ;) )Thanks to everyone for all the support, encouragement and motivation I've had on here over the past year.
    Loves ya all :D

  • Morning everyone!

    Happy Birthday Quasar 23_29_122.gif

    Congrats to Kaz! 8_6_2v.gif

Anyone seen Aussie? Well done on the cricket. Can we now agree not to mention it again. Goes off to find humble pie to eat, and confirm that cheeses now will not hatch.......................

Had a lovely party last night. Really close friends, so very relaxing, and BIG talk rather than small talk :D Ate loads of mince pies, which were delicious. Hostess, despite being a good cook, can't be bothered to make Christmas pudding   Her husband had been tempted by one for £1.98 in Tesco   so I've offered her one of mine, on the understanding that she do a blind taste off, and I calculate how much mine cost.

Children are now tired, but it is their last 3 days at school, so I'm not too bothered. Only prob is that DD's neck glands are up, so she's probably run down. She was dosed up on paracetamol and plenty of liquids. She had glandular fever for 1 week 18 months ago, and this is her first recurrence, so think we've got away lightly.

Have a great day, Penny. x
