My wife and I both took BT Mobile Sim-only deals with Mobileshop. Mine was the first by a couple of months and panned out as an unbelieveable 12 months free on a 12 month contract, 120 mins cross-network, 100 text per month with rollover. When we went for a second sim-only deal, the one I got was, unsurprisingly, no longer available. We got the wife a similar deal but with only 9 months free.
Mobileshop have honoured all the vouchers submitted to date - my last one should be paid later this month, wife's third (of 4) this week. We have submitted her forth and last one this weekend.
Initially, all cashback applications went smoothly (apart from the 45 day wait after each voucher expiry date) and were paid automatically on time. The payment period has now been increased to 60 days making a ridiculous 3 month delay between submitting a voucher and receiving cashback.
The last two vouchers we've processed were not paid on time. We've had to chase Mobileshop using the on-line help (don't forget to copy the text and paste into another document to provide a record). Only yesterday we had to contacted them for a second time about the non-payment of the wife's 3rd voucher. Mobileshop have again promised payment in the following week.
It certainly seems that Mobileshop are stretching things out hoping that people will forget to submit or pursue their cashback claims. So far, they have always come up trumps but recently only reluctantly after persistently having to "remind" them that they have "forgotten" to cough up.
We will be going elsewhere for our next deals - Mobileshop are proving to be too much hassle and, in my opinion, a bit too devious. I am sure they are not overtly trying to diddle their customers with whom they have agreed over-generous offers - but this is what is coming across to us as their present business plan!

I grabbd one of their 12 months cashback on a 12 month contract offers. The phone wouldn't charge and it took 3 months to get one that worked.
I wasn't too bothered as I didn't need the phone and only got it because it was effectively free. I've given it to my parents so they can make free calls to mobiles.
Still waiting for the first cashback and 60 days expires tomorrow. Just sent off the next claim. They offered me Argos vouchers in lieu of cash which I declined (or rather, ignored). Perhaps I should have taken them.
Hopefully I'll receive the first £105 before Christmas.

If you search this forum over the past few months, you will find a number of similar posts to yours which, inevitably, creates some doubts as to the long-term financial stability of Mobileshop.
My Quidco payment from July is still outstanding so even if Mobileshop pay that this month, it'll have taken them five months.
I've got my first cashback payment due in January from Mobileshop, I'm not at all optimistic! You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -
So we all known tomorrow would be a busy day for there Customer Service0

I too have had late cashback payments from mobileshop. Also have had non payments from them via quidco. I took out two contracts from them in july and august and both were tracked. The expected pay dates were in september and november. Come September both dates got pushed back a month each and then in October they got moved to November and December. Well now that it is December surprise surprise I see the november date is now December so now both my payments are due to this month. I am not buying from them again if I don't get my cashbacks both from mobileshop and quidco.
They have also come out with every excuse under the sun to fob off customers about late payments but after so many months it just does not wash anymore. Just because all the the other retailers are trying their best to swindle customers does not give mobileshop the right to take us for a ride. They should tell us the truth.0 -
Has anyone had positive outcome to the follow up0

I also received an email today about the Argos vouchers in lieu of cash, however the details in the link (snippet below) make it sound like I'm only due £90 when I am in fact due £150.
"If you do not wish to swap your Cash Back you do not need to do anything - do not proceed through this process and you will still receive your Cash Back payment of £90.00 in 60 days to your bank account."
I have emailed them tonight about this, however methinks something is afoot...0 -
I'm on day 74 since the expiry of my voucher, and still waiting.
I E-mailed Mobileshop on day 62 and was told that my voucher had been processed and the money would be in my account in 10 days.
I'm thoroughly fed up.
Update : Money in my account on day 750
