in It's gone, but was it any good?
Currys are doing a Toshiba Dual Processor laptop with xBrite 15" screen for £499 at the moment. Combined with a 10% off offer shown elsewhere for all purchases over 299, this gives a 1.6ghz Duo Pro with 1Gb RAM and 60Gb hard drive for £449!!

V. Good deal for anyone looking for a decent laptop for a low price.

    Can't get the 10% off to work. Says promotion ended ! Still a good deal but better if you could get 10% off though.

    Got 1 of these today. Couldn'nt wait to order on line with discount of 10%. So got to checkout and applied discount code then printed out the page and thought I would chance my hand in the local Currys. Got them seeing I interested made all the right noises. Then pulled out the print out !!

    Lots of oohing arghing etc , we are not allowed to match net prices etc even with our own website !!

    Told them I would go home and order on line, they started to let me walk and then said they would do the deal, so I got to take it home with me !

    Using it now as the kids are on the desktop ! Great bit of kit so far !

    Might be worth anyone else trying who cant wait for delivery, like me, however I can not guarantee they will cave in, perhaps I was just lucky.

    PS I had made sure they had one by reserving for collection also.
