Lock & Lock Storage Tubs

I was watching QVC the other day and they had these on a special offer and I, as per usual, got carried away and ordered some as I thought they might be good for storing flour and rice and stuff in. However, as I have now had time to reflect I think they may have been a bit of a waste of money. They will arrive in the next couple of days and I don't know whether to just not open them and send them straight back. Do any of you use them to store stuff in and are they any good/worth the money?

I would be interested in opinions on these as well, i was also very tempted and am still considering getting them. I really do need good airtight storage but dont want to pay more than i need to.0

JML do six different sizes of watertight lock containers for 6.99. I'm sure QVC is more expensive!0

I've got a couple of lock & lock tubs and I love them. Everything is airtight and I've even dropped them on the floor and the lid still hasn't come off, they also don't lose their shape in the microwave like some of my other tubs have. I was going to see if I could find some cheaper ones, if not I'll just try to pick one up a week.Dum Spiro Spero0

The problem with the ones on Q V C is that there appears to be a lot of small ones that we dont see much use for.
We have bought a selection from Wilkinsons of a size we know we will use.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -

I've bought a couple of Lock & Lock containers at Boyes (a kind of cheapy department store local to East Yorkshire) and I've also seen them in another shop, might have been Wilkinsons but I'm not sure - but the point is, they are available outside QVC so if you hadn't already bought them you'd probably have been better off just buying the sizes you really need. Lakeland sell them individually as well, but unless you're lucky enough to have a shop near you there would still be the postage to pay. Lock & lock are really good though, so I don't think you'll have wasted your money. Also, if you send them back you'll lose the p&p which is usually quite hefty with QVC! (I've stopped watching the shopping channels, having made several expensive mistakes on things which seemed like such a good idea at the time...)0

Lock & Lock are fantastic. I've had cheaper ones from Woolies etc and found them pants in comparison. If you can get to the QVC outlet at Birchwood you can usually get good L & L bargains there.0
