That's for medium and large business. Thought I read somewhere you don't have the same consumer rights as a home user (should things go pear shaped) if you purchase through the business section.0

if i don't have a business0 -

that's right, distance selling regs don't apply0 -
You may not have the same consumer rights but you can certainly buy this through the medium business section - just make up a company name (like Smith & Son) when they ask you for the business name.
I bought a system off them before Xmas and it went through without any problems.
p.s. This price includes free delivery and a 17" CRT screen so this is a bargain! Throw in a PCI FX5200 video card from PC World (about £45 online) and you've got a great little home PC for less than £240.
p.p.s. On closer look this looks like a pricing error! The configure and buy page states "From £256.63" which is exclusive of VAT, but when you select the system and change to 1 year warranty the price comes up as £156.63 - a saving of £100!! Grab it while you can!You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
It's not a mistake.
Anyone can buy from business section, but you can't return the PC.0 -
is it worth buying then, and is it easily upgradable..will get it 2nite after your repliesif i had known then what i know now0

excellant spot, my dads been after one for a while. One question tho, u lot keep saying 'not the same consumer rights' What does that mean? if u change your mind u cant send it back? Because tbh i dont care about that. I just dont want to be shafted if they send him the wrong spec machine and we have no comeback0

thanks op nabbed one of these!!Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

the processor isnt that great - once you've added Norton and a Firewall for surfing it'll struggle

I disagree that this will struggle - it depends on what you want to use it for.
If all you are doing is web surfing, word processing, listening to music and playing basic games this will be fine. My kids have Pentium III 733 machines and they work well for these sort of things, and the processor on this is certainly better than these. I will find out with any luck 'cos I've ordered one of these to replace one of my son's PCs.
Stick in a basic FX5200 graphics card (PCI version only) and it'll be fine for playing games like Return to Castle Wolfenstein or Harry Potter and watching DVDs i.e. anything not too stretching.
I can't see how just running Internet Explorer and a Firewall/virus Checker would make this so bad it would be unusable!
What is WILL NOT do though is play games like Far Cry, Half-Life and certainly not Doom3.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0
