Can we have that back please? I'm more bothered about that than the confused smiley.

Hi,
One of the principal, foundation rules of the forum is "Always be nice to other MoneySavers", and one of the big problems we are trying to deal with is newbies and OPs being scared off by replies to their posts.
We have found that the two smileys that have been removed do not feed in to us succeeding in the aim of making the forum a nicer please.
We are sorry that this may affect people that aren't using these smileys to convey sarcastic tones, or score points off other forummers, but I'm afraid it is action that has had to be taken.

Maybe this one  should be taken off as well then"I am an insomniac, so I was really excited when I was able to get a full night's sleep. I said to a friend, 'Just keep your fingers crossed that I get lucky again tonight!' Realizing what I said, I tried to correct it and said, 'No, I mean, I just hope that I get some tonight!' After that, I decided to shut up."0

Fair enough but people use the sarcasm smiley to be self deprocating too.

sorry, but that's ridiculous. Those smilies are prolly used 95% of the time for OTHER uses than "scaring newbies off". I thought we were all grown-ups here?
Also, I fail to see how the confused smiley isn't "being nice".top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

A touch of overkill and PC gone mad (oops no rolleyes/sarcastic coment smiley)
I use the confussed smiley mainly on DFW it helps when someone (mainly newbies)
posts something and your not sure of the what they have said is correct, what they meant, or if what your saying is 100% correct
In my oppinion it adds a personal touch, and a more welcomeing feel
Whats the next smiley to go (Oops no confussed smiley to put here)
:j - will the disabled get upset, (Oops no confussed smiley to put here)
 - will people who have, have dealt with, dealing with drink problems get upset
...................... (Oops no confussed smiley to put here)
 - will people who been burned get upset (Oops no confussed smiley to put here)- will people with bad teeth get upset (Oops no confussed smiley to put here)
 - will blind people get upset (Oops no confussed smiley to put here)
Someone, somewhere can and will find offence in any smileyPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT NERD #869Numpty,Not sure why but I'm crying. Of all the peeps on this board you're the kindest & most supportive of all & I'm  &

I agree wth both Numpty Monkey and aless. You can still be horrid without using a smiley so I'm not sure how getting rid of certain ones will make a difference?4.30: conduct pigeon orchestra...0

The "sarcastic" rolling eyes smiley I can (sorta) understand.
Removing the "confused" one makes no sense at all though.
