£9k in 130 days - The big 'ask'!

Options
Hi everyone!

Started my last diary on here back in the summer and managed to knock £3k off my debt of £12k in 6 months.

Now onto what my OH calls 'the big ask'. Im going to clear all my debt (just under £9k) in 130 days, or in 5 paydays, or by April (whichever way suits u best :p)

My OH thinks its too much pressure but im up for the challenge.

I need to save £5k more on top of this challenge for our wedding in November so its now or never!!! :T

He thinks hes going to be fed on berries and nuts for the foreseeable future (his idea of frugal living!) but im more focused than ever and determined to get this debt off my shoulders and then I can focus all attention on my big day!! a debt free wedding ! :money:

Come along with me on my journey to be Debt free in 130days!

Good luck Keza, I also have £9K to pay off but giving myself 15 months (March 2011), could never do it in 130 days! Will be interesting to get tips how to do it though!

Hi all! thanks for the support! glad to know theres people behind my crazy idea!

Roomontheend - thanks for the tip on Dinahs diary, i had a flick thru a few weeks ago but will make a point of having a good look and see if i can get some tips

Today i have started as i mean to go on. I have emptied out my purse, any coins have gone in the wedding sealed pot and any notes have gone in the bank. (TIP ALERT!) If its not in my purse - i cant spend it in my eyes!

Today im going to have an NSD even thou am going Lakeside tonite with OH. going to be good and resist temptation.

Joined BB last nite so that should entertain me aswell as a possible win or two (fingers crossed)!

£19 from mystery shopping went in my account this morning. am still waiting on £170ish from ebay sales to hit my account and another £45 from mystery shopping. and also £5 from free scratchies! cant be bad!

Hope u all have a wicked Tuesday! im going to play around with some spreadsheets! :) xx

Just thought i had better clarify one thing.

Im very lucky to be in the position where I dont have to pay for a mortgage (yet!) my OH pays 90% of the bills for our house until ive sorted myself out. all I pay is the food which we budget for £120 a month - great deal right? this is one of the reasons im lucky enough to even consider busting my debt in 5 paydays!

    :)
