In ASDA they have a notice up saying Sky HD £29 which I presume is for new customers, down from £49.

Virgin have a virtually non existent HD platform, freeview is a way of. If sky could give everyone HD for the same price as Standard I'm sure they would make a killing, Ifor one would take it. Retention would probably be pretty good. Boosting HD sets, getting people to take the plunge. If they continue to charge a premium, everyone will catch up soon and the market will be a lot harder for them to corner which they could do now.

Ive been thinking this for month you know, but when the girl said £29, I thought why not. It costs sky more than £29 to make the sky hd box you know. Thats why £9.75 per month and costs them more to broadcast in HD and Dolby Digital due to the bandwidth it uses.

Its like buying a printer now days for £20 and the cartridges costing £30 each.
    Kind Regards
