No money.....my wake up call!!

Ok so here goes........
Im married:)
I have 4 Children
I own my own home with a £22,000.00 mortgage meaning my payments are around £100pm
I have credit card debt of £1700.00
I have a loan worth £10000.00
My Income per month is around £2100.00
My direct debits are £800.00 pm
My problem.............well there are several............
1) My DH had an accident almost 5 years ago that left him with severe brain damage, a full time wheelchair user (although he cannot use it due to spacticity setting into his left arm while he was in a coma...and he wouldnt pass the driving test for an electric one!) He came home for a year, but had to return back to hospital as firstly his behaviour changed towards the children, carers and myself and secondly I couldnt cope.....I PROMISE i did try, but he developed epilepsy after the accident and always seemed to be in a constant fit as he was being over-stimulated at home whilst the kids were being understimulated!!!! My Dhs hospital is 30 miles away!!!! and we go up to see him 3/4 times per week!!
2) I was doing a 2 year access course that would enable me to go to university to undertake a degree course in socialwork........I am averaging around 80% overall score, but disaster has struck and i havnt been accepted into uni:eek:.....im totally gutted and the reason i wasnt even offered an interview was because the marker of my personal statement felt that I didnt have enough experience..........so I took the headstaggers and left the course, I am now job hunting!
3) I dont work.......3 of my children have disabilities, the eldest has aspergers and ADHD he is 14 now and whilst there are days that i could happily strangle him the other days he can be quite a lovely child, and really tries so hard to not over react at small changes
DS3 also has aspergers and severe asthma.....we have our own nebuliser....A&E now type in his name and hand me the medication to treat him when he has an attack, as he cannot bear people to touch him!!! DD has icthyosis, eczema, and atopic dermatitis, there are days she cannot walk, hold a pencil or get dressed as its so bad, she is wet wrapped and has every cream, ointment and emoillient under the sun....she attends 2 different hospitals 30 miles away every 3/4 weeks!!
4) I went to the bank today and they told me that I was overdrawn on my blooming overdraft!!!!!! so therefore i couldnt withdraw any money!!!!!!!!!!!!!:o
So, this is my lightbulb moment........I need to get organised, I need to save, and my house......well it needs redecorated.....even the washable paint that has been washed ten thousand times isnt working anymore!!!!!
Any Advice???
Im not posting a SOA........yet, although i promise i will!!!!

Crikey. I think anyone who thinks they have it bad should come and read your post!! That is a heck of a lot that you have to cope with!
Do you get any kind of help with looking after your husband and children? Physical help I mean, not just financial?0 -
Thanks Mogchops!!!! Well when DH was at home , we had carers twice a day they were fab and still keep in contact........now its really just my family who help, and close friends:) I did ask social services for help with childminding but because we wernt "normal circumstances" they could offer nothing!!! So I go it alone!!:):jIm going to be frugal:j:DIm going to be frugal:D;)Im going to be frugal;)Beetlejuice Beetlejuice...................:rotfl:0

Right, I know i need to get organised....
My To Do List...........
Get someone to put up notice boards...then bills will be in front of me...
Get in touch with the bank and get online banking!!!!
Put some money into my ISA currently there is £6.00 in it
Jobhunt.....but I have been recently thinking of either childminding or.....fostering!! and yes I know I have loads on my plate!!! But I like kids....I can empathise with many many situations....and im sitting in a 6 bedroomed house, that means one maybe 2 spare bedrooms!!!!!....
I will add ideas as i think of them!!!:jIm going to be frugal:j:DIm going to be frugal:D;)Im going to be frugal;)Beetlejuice Beetlejuice...................:rotfl:0 -
