Hey Thrifty! I live in the grotty West Midlands. Most people only seem to want Primark or River Island footballer's wives type-gear, leaving all the vintage/designer bargains for me!
    :j

I'm liking your bargains, too. That 1975 Vogue mag sounds just up my street. I recently bought a book called "House Proud" which has some amazing thifty tips for customising furniture and it has a great idea for making placemats from vintage Vogue covers. xx

Wow, Goanmad, you're good at this bargain hunting lark.
Best thing I've had, I think, was a pair of oak Art Deco book-ends carved in the shape of hares, for £1.25.
When I went to pay,I was told the charity shop had had them for ages, but were saving them for Easter!

Wow wow wow! Some amazing finds here! Did you keep the Hermes or sell it? Fantastic!

I'm not a frequent bargain hunter (I'm too lazy! :o) but my best find was a pair of Rayban Aviators in a charity shop... 50p.
