Whilst updating my status on my facebook page my attention was drawn to an ad offering an "Instant £500 Credit Card" -
Get £5000 credit to spend right now. No credit check. Apply now in just 60 seconds! they say, a credit card with no credit check? - mmmmm - the old adage "You should only believe half of what you see, and none of which you hear" comes to mind - but curiosity - ok, nosiness takes over and I click the ad.
This is not a Visa nor is it a Mastercard, in fact it isn't actually even really a credit card, it is a membership to what looks like some kind of online catalouge, with a £500 credit limit to buy whatever you like from a limited range of goods.
The terms and conditions - http://www.e-platinumplus.co.uk/eterms.html give the whole game away.
It looks like an elaborate con, can anyone vouch for them?

Noooo - avoid like the plague! It isnt a credit card its credit with them and their prices are unreal and once you've signed up you cannot break free for a year.

Get Ad Block Plus add-on for Firefox. I don't see any adverts0

AdBlock Plus https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865 -nice and simple for anyone using Firefox
NoScript https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722 This is a heavy duty Addon which is a great bit of kit as it blocks EVERYTHING unless you tell it different. So, you need to add all your favourite sites first. If unsure don't use it or at least read the reviews and FAQ.
You can own your Internet and it's free. It's called Firefox.0 -
As my credit score is not as healthy as it could be then I find this to be be a possible alternative for store cards but as they show nothing of what I could buy apart from some featured products with no prices then I don't think I would bother.
Anyone know where I can get an online catalouge?0 -
