Hi angelnikki,
Happy New Year to you too! One of my new years resolutions was to be more strict with meal planning. It will help me to work from Monday to Sunday so here's what we're having:
Monday: Lasagne, salad and baked potatoes. Trifle - we don't normally have dessert but ds returns from a trip away tomorrow so I want to make it more special (plus I have cream that needs using up).
Tuesday: Coq au vin with braised carrots and baby potaotes
Wednesday: Spaghetti with a spicy tomato sauce and grated cheese.
Thursday: Lamb chops and sausages with mash and broccoli
Friday: Tuna and broccoli pasta bake
Saturday: chinese takeaway because dd goes back to uni on Sunday and has asked for it as a treat.
Sunday: Roast dinner (probably pork or lamb as I have both in the freezer so will decide nearer the time)

Same here Pink, I really need to get on top of organising myself - I tend to procrastinate because I don't have the order I crave... so I will post my plan as soon as I have checked what is in the fridge/freezer/cupboards tomorrow... (not procrastinating, honest, just really need to check)...
We will definitly be having chicken curry tomorrow as I have loads of portions to use up in the freezer, but I can't remember anything else but at least that is sorted...:DLBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

Hi there,
I never assign days to the meals to leave me some choice... lol and my week goes Friday to Friday...

Stir-fry (peppers, carrots, beansprouts) with noodles
Tagliatelle (home made) in a creamy tomato sauce
3 Bean chilli
Red rice salad (red rice, tomatoes, feta, peppers) with veggie burger
Parsnip Soup with home made bread rolls
Lunches are:
left overs (tagliatelle and gnocchi were enough to have the next day)

Sausages with sweetcorn and tomato salad
Pasta salad
omelette
Sandwiches
Going to make chocolate brownies for treats0 -
I did a shop that should last a month, bar milk, lunch meats and fruit/veg, so the meals are quite well planned.
Sat: back from holiday, bare shelves. Baked potatoes, gammon (leftovers I had frozen), gravy, carrots (brought back with us) and frozen peas
Sun: lunch - some soup we brought back with bread; dinner - roast lamb boulangere (bed of potatoes and onion with a bit of stock), carrot, broccoli
Mon (at home): lunch - butternut squash soup I took out of the freezer on saturday night cos there wasn't room when the big shop arrived; shepherds pie using cooked lamb, cauliflower & frozen peas
Tues: rose elliott's kidney bean and coconut curry with chapattis and rice; beans on toast for children if they don't fancy the curry
Wed: quiche lorraine (using a bought pastry case), carrots & frozen peas
Thurs: spaghetti bolognese with plenty of hidden veggies
Fri: add beans to the leftover bolognese to turn it into chilli, served with rice and corn chipsMortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000
