Board Title Change & Note from Martin

Sadly in what's usually a really well thought through board, recently there's been some spats. I want to ask that it stops and would make the following points below.
Enjoy the new expanded board
Martin
- Board Title Change.
I agreed it was time to widen the boards remit and also to make it a main board - to discuss the wider economy as well as house prices.
- The Board Guides are my decision not the Boards.
As for discussions about who the boards are - there's no discussion, that's my decision and for my team. And I will not have individuals pushed for the volunteer work they do here. I have deleted the thread discussing it personally.
Please treat our volunteers with respect, they do a great job and have the best interests of the site at heart, and this board specifically has some really hardworking but dedicated volunteers.
Of course not everyone will agree with them all the time, and if you think you've bee treated unfairly though then the correct protocol is to email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com which is a totally seperate professional team - it is NOT to start threads berating individuals on the board.
- Speaking with courtesy
I have also deleted the speaking with courtesy thread. Frankly there's no need to debate this. Please be polite and friendly even to those you disagree with. If not you will lose your priviledges to post. This is a site for grown ups, of course rows happen at sometimes, but there's no need for it not to be civil even if ferverently debated.
Enjoy the new expanded board

Thank you Matin, having just tried to catch onto the hoohah this seems wise.
Its fair to say ime this HAS become an important board. We were discussed in a seminar (my DH alerted a partner at his firm about us) and the lawyer suggested other trainees READ US as an excellent example of understanding the wider economic picture!!! (obviously not my posts, lol)0 -

I hope many people find it useful.
As for discussions about who the boards are - there's no discussion, that's my decision and for my team - and its neither fair nor appropriate to discuss individuals on the boards in that way nor will it be permitted. The Board Guides are volunteers and do a wonderful job.

Thanks for the understanding, It is a good board if not a little heated.
hopefully yesterday served as a wake up to some of us what should and shouldn't be tolerated.
PS Agree on the guides. I do not want to know what the think and compleatly accept it is your decision, has it should be its your site.;)0 -
Excellent stuff Martin and exactly what we needed. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
See, told you Martin would decide

Lets dirty this one up a bit.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
