Does anyone have any better information?
The messages on the website are full of PR spin and only give a partial glimpse at the situation. It seems worse than they say.
Please be careful what information you give out, if you’ve used your real name.0 -
Ok, it is way past 2pm, where are all the lovely posts of people who received those many CHAPS transfers that have been sent today, as Haider was told by Steve at KE? I haven't got one yet, but I am with Nationwide, so I might not be able to see it till late this afternoon.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

I have a theory about all of this (which I thought about whilst laying carpet this morning) and for want of anything better (or do i mean important) to do, thought I would share to see what others think.
1. I do think that the administrators are relaesing funds in batches.
2. I think these batches are each week on a Friday (or possibly Thursday with ING paying out on Friday)
3. When the funds arrive, I think they are allocated to a number of accounts that equates to the amount of fund recieved that week.
4. Some of these accounts will have outstanding payments and some will still have a balances (those that did not withdraw and possibly fixed term). Those with outsanding transactions get paid whereby those with balances, the funds transfer to ING.
5. Obviously it is INGs interest that some be assigned to accounts with a balance.
6. What I think may have happened yesterday as a result of possible negative media coverage, is not that they got additional funds from the administrators, but they re-assigned funds from accounts with a balance. However obviously there would be a limit which when reached was when the payments stopped.
Absolutely pure speculation on my part, but something is very strange about all of this and yesterday seemed to break the rules
Despite all this I am confident we will eventually get our money back and I am not actually convinced it is actually INGs fault. I think they are just the front line.
I am probably totally wrong but it made me feel better typing it down0 -
I put a CHAPS request on the 7th which was due to go on the 8th.
Still not received anything and HSBC say there's nothing waiting to clear on my receiving account.
Did get a CHAPS refund of £20 credited to KE yesterday but where's my money?!!0 -

Welcome to everyone new - nearly all of us on this thread are very nice people! If you are missing money -make sure you let Haider know so you can be added to THE LIST.
Also if you are only slightly computer literate -like me - and there are things that are mentioned that you don't know how to do - post and ask!
In the last fortnight I have learnt how to do screensaves, ignore trolls, add :j and do buıʇıɹʍ uʍop ǝpısdn
Not bad eh?
I am another KE to Nationwide. Significant figure for my son's house deposit. Before I had seen this thread I was told at the weekend by KE that CHAPS would complete if I sent first thing yesterday. Still told it would complete when I checked yesterday afternoon. When I rang today I was told that KE could not guarantee timescales on any bank to bank transfers until the backlog was cleared.
I can accept this message as now that I have seen this thread I think it is quite right that all you good folk who have been waiting two weeks and more should receive your money first. Just why couldn't KE say that earlier?
Even now there is nothing clearly communicated to say that they cannot transact any new transfers. The transfer page on the KE internet site still says that CHAPS before 2pm will clear the same day. So much of the stress of all this is down to communication.
Thanks to you all for being there - as you have all said it is good to share
P.S Particular thanks to nomorekids, UnhappyHarry and LuKeNuKuM for my debut welcome and to Haider for all the collation. I am now on the list!0 -

I've seen a bit of movement - I had -£19 in my account (after forgetting to include the CHAPS payment in the amount I withdrew) from 8th October when I withdrew money until yesterday but it's now reading as £1. But nothing in Natwest as of yet.0
