    Sheesh!! What a day

I've met myself coming back a few times today:huh:

Managed to get to my 'breakfast meeting but just had 1 slice of brown toast very thinly spread with apricot jam and a delicious cup of fresh coffee (not bad for a workshop crew) Lunchtime wasn't so good :o the buffet was minging so I nipped to the shop and had a very tasty wholemeal roll with brie, sweet onion chutney and carrot..........I read the back after I'd eaten it....550calories:eek:  so I had a bag of crisps and a muffin to recover......stupid woman!

Off to dancing after work so I should burn some of it off :T :j

I'll decide on tea when I get home, plenty of stuff in as MrT delivered last night.

Looks like I'll be busy for a while yet, the boss has the flu - proper flu according to his doc, not 'manflu' :rotfl: I'll get a bit more organised tomorrow and bring plenty of healthy stuff with me.

I haven't had a blood orange since I was a kid! I like the taste of oranges but they are sooooo messy! I have to have fruit at room temp as well, I think it brings out the flavour more (and it doesn't hurt my teeth)

    See you later folks :A

I'm with you on the warm fruit Rockie, and room temperature salad and chocolate (not together you understand:rolleyes: ) People that keep chocolate in the fridge are just strange.:p

  • Lisa - my ex husband is in the fire service and he went to do a safety inspection at a crisp factory once and hasn't had a crisp since- he said that before they are cooked they go all black and gunky and before they fry them they use some sort of edible bleach on them to whiten them again... hasn't stopped me eating them though..

Oh yes - I only like room temperature fruit too - but for some reason I like tinned fruit or stewed apple really cold - don't know why. I also only like room temperature chocolate - but I will eat it out of the fridge if I have to!

  • Thanks all,

I went to do some stuff to keep me occupied. and had a bowl of beef stew.

I have a crisp addiction! Boy does that sound wiered but I do. I'd much rather scoff my way through a 28 multi bag of crisps than eat a meal. Sad isn't it.
It has been 3 weeks since my last bag of crisps but today for the 1st time I felt it.

I'm just 5lb away from losing my 1st stone (walked 65miles and have been eating very healithly) I can't give up now.

    Hi All,

It's good to hear how everyone is doing. I really missed the internet yesterday. It was off for over 7 hours but ironically when we got back from the wifi bar having sorted everything out we needed to it was back on again.

We've had a good day. We've managed 2 walks. The first was down to the shop and back to collect some freshly baked bread which is a round trip of 20 minutes. The second we've just got back from and took 40 minutes, which is our basic trip to the beach and back. Being only 5 foot small I take quite small steps so reckon I have done around 8,000 to 8,500 steps. The pedometer is still being erratic so we did some walking and timing and I seem to do around 140 per minute to OH's 100 per minute. Anyhow I feel quite virtuous now. However, I've also laid in the sun with a book for quite a while!

Foodwise I've been fairly good too.

B: Muesli with skimmed milk and rasins. Pineappl juice.
L: Bowl of tomato soup with 1/3 of a freshly baked baguette. Banana
D: planning to have pork chop, green beans, potato cooked with parsnip, celery and onion. Orange.

I've also had at least 1/2 litre of water to drink plus some diluted squash in addition to several milky coffees (skimmed milk).

    Hi everyone

Hope you've all had a good day, although its damn freezing! I had to wait 25mins for a bus today and was frozen solid by the time it arrived

Lisa Martin - don't even mention crisps! They are my absolute favourite snack, I could literally eat an entire 6 pack of bacon flavour walkers without blinking. Haven't had any crisps since end of Jan :A but the temptation is strong......NO! I must be strong!!

Very pleased with myself last night. About 9.30pm I got so hungry, was literally 2 seconds away from making cheese on toast  . However, summoned up all my willpower and had a lovely bowl of strawberries with mullerlite :T .

    Mixed bag today:

    B. - apple

    L. - chicken and bacon sandwich

    D. - indian restaurant! 4 days till weigh-in so will be excercising my butt off to make up for this (its a birthday so have to go :rotfl: ).

Naughty to have restaurant meal but we've been promising friend for months to go so don't want to be a let down.

College today so unable to go for my walk, but made the effort to excercise where possible. Walked 15mins this morning to further train station and did 30 mins on mums excercise bike when I got home :A . According to online calculator thats about 350cals burned so thats roughly lunch dealt with, only dinner to burn off tomorrow! :rotfl:

Anyway, going out in 5mins, will certainly be paying for this over the next 4 days! I am DETERMINED to get these pesky 3lb's off to give me my first 1stone loss. Will feel good to have a total loss in stones rather than lb's!!

See you all tomorrow, hope any weigh-in's are generating good news!
    Total debt £21,000

    Evening everyone.

Reasonable day foodwise, but found it sooooooooo difficult this afternoon.

Breakfast was porridge and didn't seem to keep me going as well as sometimes, suspect it was earlier than usual. Had a carrot and several cuppas and kept going till 1pm for lunch.

Salad lunch as reported earlier, with rather nice smoked mackerel on it, HM yogt with low sugar jam. VERY tart, so weakened and had some honey on it . Tut tut tut!

Dinner was leftovers... brown rice, chana dall and broccoli. Added some left over hm sauce from ds's pizza to the channa dall, which was then really good, Still some left so will dilute with stock for lunch tomorrow.

made 4 pizza bases so freezing the other three for a fortnight tomorrow when I won't be here. Would like to get a freezer stash of those going.

Had a banana for snack this afternoon. First of all half and then the second half.

I wish I knew why it hasn't gone as smoothly today! Generally haven't been feeling too hungry between meals since going on the low GL food plan. But today I wanted to snack and was constantly thinking "what can I have?" (mastering GL it at the moment, before I try and lose weight with it properly. I think I'm losing a bit any way, which is encouraging)
