Trying to do this and it seems stuck on "processing your details" GRRRR0

Has anyone signed up for this for a freeview box. It says within the terms and conditions :-
(For Freeview™ customers only, payment of £19.98 payable in advance for months 3
and 4, £9.99 per month thereafter.)
So does this mean that £19.98 has to be paid up before the third month or would cancelling between 26/12/07 and 16/01/08 would stop this from being taken???

Hi all,
I subcribed for this offer on Saturday night through the setanta website and found it as one of the simplest things I've ever done!! top marks for simplicity!! The channels were activated within half hour of signing up....excellent service!
It is free for sky customers ... no £1 charge and the code i used was "2001". I hear you have to give 30 day cancellation notice so i guess i'll put my notice in on Xmas Eve!!0 -
Assuming I have interpreted the Setanta FAQ (http://www.setanta.com/utilities/FAQ.aspx) correctly, I believe that many (if not most) potential subscribers, presently using Freeview, will actually have to pay at least £30.99. This being £1 for two months service plus the cost of the Conditional Access Module (CAM) to accommodate the viewing card to permit the signal to be decrypted.
This presumes that you have a Freeview box that will has a slot to accept a CAM. Otherwise you will have to purchase an additional Freeview box that already includes a CAM (card slot) which will be described as "Top up TV compatible".0 -
It seems it is slightly different for the "2 Months Free" offer.
This from their sign up page.
"6. Freeview™ and satellite customers - to cancel with effect from the end of the first 2 months, call Setanta between 26th December 2007 and 15th January 2008. Virgin Media, BT Vision and Tiscali customers, contact your operator.
7 A 30 day cancellation notice from next billing date required thereafter."0 -
I am thinking of taking up this offer, but like others am wary of the cancellation process and the possibilty of being charged. Could I just cancel the DD via my bank or would I have to ring them between the dates specified??
Cheers
