My other half called and said he wanted to drop his number to payg and they offered him any phone out of their current models, 300 minutes and 300 txtx for wait for it..................£1.28 per month so including vat £1.50!!!!!! For the full 18 month contract

Hi,
I've recently applied Martin's tips for hammering down my contract price with Orange. After a couple of chats with the suprisingly friendly staff at the retention/disconnection dept. I secured a deal I am pretty happy with. By declaring I was off to T-Mobile for their combi 30 deal I got Orange to beat it. I now have received a Nokia N82 with 600 anytime mins, unlimited texts & internet browsing for £25 a month on an 18 month contract. I have noticed that I have 7 days to trial the phone & if not happy can return it. Does anybody have any experience of whether calling their bluff at this point can knock any more off or gain extra services like text from abroad bundles or will they actually just say fine we will have the phone back and deal with the hassle.
Don't want to be greedy but it would be great to get the cost down to £20 a month.
Can anyone help?

WHat do u reckon ? is it a good deal or not?

Dont know if you can keep bluffing but I got the same deal as you about a month ago but couldn't get the phone I wanted...so I've 'trialled' a few phones on the 7 day trial while waiting for the N95 to come in!! haha

That sounds like a pretty reasonable deal to me - I'd be more than happy with it anyway!
One question - do they have the HTC Diamond in stock? I've called 3 times now in an attempt to get that phone as an upgrade, and each time have been told that it's not in stock, nor is it likely to be in until mid-August.
I think I might give retentions another call to see if I can get me a deal like yours!0 -
im eligable to upgrade in 2 weeks.... can i haggle at that stage or do I need to wait until im in my final month/week/day?0
