I think if you announced in the bingo that there were freebies at Tesco the hall would empty pretty quickly.
It's only because most people are not aware of the policy that don't take advantage of it. I'd like to see the cs refuse some of the golden oldies I know they'd eat them alive.0 -
Just annoys me how they treat people different..the cs advisor was first dealing with my gf as i walked off to show the other advisor the fosters sel..when i cam back my gf was on her own as the other cs advisor had gone to check the dvds.. misses said the lady is really nice, i'll go back to the car and you sort it out..the cs women who came back from checking the dvd now had to deal with me and she was a complete dragon...you'd swear i'd nicked the fosters, dvd and games from under her xmas tree..that when the arguing began....0

My Nans gonna think i'm a little gem when i take her shopping every week to tescos now!!!
The things you do to make r&r easier eh....:D0 -
Funny how one person can react so differently to two people. My OH is the most trustworthy guy I know (it's me who likes using the coupons) and he gets stares from the security guard every time we've been in Tesco. I don't even get so much as a blink.0

I thought my local cs was a dragon until I had an L6 mobile from a store a little further away. The duty manager was right cow, kept making huffing noises and was very agressive. I was very pleased with myself though I stayed calm and didn't punch her lights out. When hubby asked what she was like my response was 'It would have been a fair fight'. Got my refund with head offices intervention and 'I'll be back!'0 -

(never done this yet actually!)
I once did this and made a complete prat of myself. Unfortunately I had not read the board and just assumed it was the usual, but this one was all about electrical helplines etc.
Got my R&R though because they knew that I knew if you see what I mean.0 -

well after she did give me the refund i was still fuming when driving off so i went around the round about (as you do ) and went back in for her name and details and an appology. She practically said i knew what i was doing...
I said "i bought these dvds and games and they all have labels on them..i assumed your staff were gonn check them at the til or better still they would scan correctly" i was then told..satff do not have time to check dvds/games when they scan them. Thats b*llocks as its happened to me a few times and take a few seconds to change the price.
When you think about it..getting a book, dvd or game r&r is pretty hard as first you got to find the misprice, then you got to get it through the checkout without them changing the price... alot of work needed really!!0 -
I dont want to make it obvious to where I am but lets just say that where I live we only have 1 tesco without having to get on a boat to go to another...leaving it impossible for me to travel and make it worth my while unless I know Im going out for lots of x boxes and an expensive chance to take. However I scanned my one and only for months and months before I found my first, ironically I just found it, it was a bunch of lillies with out of date sel, I got 2, I had given up really that I was ever going to find any, and was given my first r & r without a flinch. The very next day mcdonagh posted a silver ps2 and just on the off chance I amazingly got it thanks to him, 2 weeks later utter disbelief i got the x box 360, again thanks to mcdonagh, in the ps2 instance i got the manager, x box, same manager, add wanted but false one given, felt like a criminal, then amazingly again i got the moto l6 r&r, astounded, I must however be the only r&r person here, as I am now tannoyed about and I KNOW followed when I walk in the store. Its funny really, last night i went to get some champagne, i looked at a half price offer, genuine interest because it was 32 xx down to 16 xx anyway asked if they had any in cos the shelf was empty, 'low and behold, tannoy, manager comes down, checks supposedly, nope he says, ok I'll come back tommorow, do a little shopping and I know he's following me...weird or what, check out. done. get some ciggies at the ciggy counter and he's up my aXXe, oh just thought I'd let you know we arent having anymore deliveries of that champagne this week...and he's got the sel in his hand...what the fXXX was that all about???
I feel harassed....and is it? Surely I shouldnt feel intimidated like this...?0 -
HappyShopper3 wrote:LOL, but do you really think a granny would be buying a DVD, games and 16 Fosters?
Mine would!:beer:0 -
I quite like stickered misprices because as long as they aren't spotted at the till they can't wriggle out of them - such as removing tickets, signs, claiming sel in wrong place or out of date.0
