My aunt has called me and she too says that there is a pause because they cannot cope with the numbers due to start due to training purposes. The pause is national according to her but she has said everyone that has a start date will start as planned! Unfortuantely not me! Apparently they are reviewing the situation again mid october.

Fair comment, i just think she should be a bit more specific, rather than worrying people unnecesarily. If its not even official yet and if DWP staff dealing with our IRCs dont even know then sorry, but we shouldnt know "half" a story yet until its official. Sure there are also many who would agree with this!

I think you have explained too much. It's not your job or right to divulge such info no matter how long you have known. And I'm sure your bosses wouldn't appreciate it much either if they found out. I hope for your sake they don't.
I appreciate that you probably have everyones interest at heart but this is not the way to go about it. That I do know.
All those who have thanked sammy do you feel better now knowing that it COULD be true or it COULD effect your area. We were all stressing about when we were going to get the call and how long it's dragging on etc. Now we have to stress over this !! Brilliant0 -

So your going to find a job before Monday are you ? And your telling me you'd rather feel gutted and let down all weekend than still wonder if you'll get the call on Monday ? I know which I'd rather.
Jenninsky's Aunt has also said it's a national pause !! But if it is national why doesn't every DWP Jobcentre, Call Centre and BDC know about it ? If they did then I'd be more inclined to believe it.
We are only getting snippets of info, no concrete evidence.....how the hell is that good ?0
