My first post on this new thread!
I posted a few times on the old threads but will try to post more here, honest!
Why am I doing this challenge?
To clear a few debts and to replace my full time (self employed) job with something more flexible and with more money.
How am I doing it?
Ebay/Amazon - have listed and sold a few things so far, but most of my stuff will go to bootsales when it gets a lot warmer! Done BB and withdrawn around £90 and will start on matched betting soon....
What can I do?
Type fast (but this is my main job so looking to do something that doesnt involve too much typing!)
Websites - I have some blogs that earn money (around 20 or so that earn around £50 a month from ebay/amazon/adsense) I have a reseller account, know how to upload html pages, set up wordpress blogs on my hosting (not the free ones) etc.... but am not good at writing articles or blog posts so most of the sites are just selling stuff from ebay/amazon with plugins that automatically pull down the info.
Not creative at all but can do some techie stuff as above if anyone needs any help.
Would like to earn part of the money from ebay/amazon, buying stuff to resell and possible create my own website if I can find my niche, and the rest from some kind of Internet Marketing, (working on this one at the moment!)
Well thats it for now, love the new thread some great ideas flying around.Sell £1000 in 2016 - £12.48/£1000
Earn £2016 in 2016 - £0.00/£10000 -

Thanks you all your kind messages and PM's without them I wouldn't have bothered.
Anyway new day new thread.:) Thankyou mmtwga for starting up a new one x this one is much more relaxed and chilled.
I am doing this challenge to 1. Buy a new to me car 2. pay off cc debts 3. pay a bit off of larger debts
I am going to do this by buying and selling on ebay and carboots when the weather is warmer.
I have put the £10,000 into £28 pounds a day after tax (before around £37) and I am going to include savings on car tax, car insurance, food, sky etc all things that I have been paying out month in month out and I am gradually tightening the old belt, that way the amount will grow over the year.
I have nipped over to MS old style for inspiration with meals etc and boy do they know how to do it!8 years of being on a DMP finished 3/3/140 -
My story is that I already run my own business. I've started from scratch and now have 6 staff plus me. I'd like to sell it as a going concern soonish, as I already have plans for my next business venture and I don't want to be running both of them at the same time (enough holes in my head). We have weathered the recession pretty well, but like I said yesterday I think 09-10 turnover will be about £4K down on 08-09. Obviously to get top £££ for the business it needs to be doing well, so I want to put a big effort into getting turnover maximised this year. In fact, if I get it doing really well I *might* even have a change of heart and keep it!
The jewellery/altered art is what I do in my spare time. It keeps me sane (ish) and since I make more than I can ever use myself or give as gifts I figured I might as well try and fund my hobby by selling odd bits. If it becomes more than that, then that's great.
I am limited in how much I can do jewellery-wise by the fact that the majority of my time has to be with my main business as that's my main moneymaker.
If I do keep business #1 and start business #3 (if you count the jewellery as #2) then I'd be looking at taking a partner into either 1 or 3 as I can't do it all by myself.
So the £10K is to make #1 a very saleable proposition at a good price and to fund the startup costs of #3.0 -

I somehow just landed in this thread but like someone else said, it's worth having a look around the wider site. Obvious i know! The above link has lots of ideas - i'd overlooked the rest of the site as i tend to come straight hereWorth a peep though if you haven't already.
Just £10,852.28p to go...
Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";

I have no idea what made me join - I have absolutely no experience in having a business and had no idea what to do other than buy and sell on Ebay. I'm a stay-at-home mum with three kids and have a mad life as it is, seems I'm never happy
I am right at the very beginning of starting out and wouldn't have bothered if it weren't for this thread!
MMTWGR, please will you put my motives as being 'pay off debt and start driving' and my ideas as being 'have enough stock to start a shop on Etsy' please? Thank you, and I'm going to change my signature to something a bit more positive, when I think of it!I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0
