agree with you about paypal.
my biggest problem is i sold a brand new pnone 325.i have 100% poss feedback.they blocked my money for fraud reasons untill they recieved poss feedback from buyer.they did and i got my money.after i chased buyer up.
what if he was scammer.what if he didnt give any feedback.where the sellers protection.rubish.
they need tightly regulating.
The rules for holding payment are that the funds are held for 21 days or until the buyer leaves positive feedback. You asked whether another forum member could actually read, could you not do the same when you checked the paypal details for the 'hold' ? So in respect of your specific question what if he was scammer.what if he didnt give any feedback the answer is you would have got your money after 21 days.
Paypal does have some very odd terms and conditions, but many of us sell using it (as we are obliged to on ebay) with no problems at all. However I do have issues with the ebay and paypal advertising policy where they suggest it is simple and easy for all, I do not believe that is the case.I don't think it suits all types of sales, nor all types of person. I for one would no longer use ebay to sell high end goods that need collection as I know I can't protect myself. I also have no problems at all with people closing their paypal and ebay accounts and selling elsewhere, it is a free country, if you don't like paypal and therefore choose not to use ebay just check out other places to sell .

yes im well aware of the 21 days.it was a comment about another annoyance of paypal.you seem to be confusing it with my original post.
the fact is she wasnt reading it properly.its not an attack or insult.im possibly the worst educated and speller on here.
the 21 days would be fine if you knew that would happen.its not ideal that it could happen randomly.21 days with no feedback ,then paypal slow response,if you were bieng scammed you goods would be long gone.
i have had many successfull transactions on ebay and paypal.my main point is the sytem returned my payment i dought a human ever realy checked or read the buyers false complaint.
ill say to you what some told me once."you havent had a problem yet"
to your next point i begged them to close my account and send bill.they didnt.they want access to my bank to close my account,i dont think so.banks now have to give prior notice inorder to take charges from you account.paypal do whatever they wantlittlewoods/littlewoods direct/marshall ward/kays/greatuniversal/empire stores/addittions/grattans/next/ambrose wilson.barclay card/cap1/bos/vanquis gold/vodafone/3 .dell finance/currys finance

My sting against Paypal, is it promotes itself to be fully secure, yet in stark reality its no more secure than a cheque book, yet Ebay insists you have a Paypal account to use the site, unless you opt for a Pay In Person from a seller.
Paypal is too full of holes for me to trust it as secure. As the OP notes, its when things go wrong, that Paypal all of a sudden dont claim any responcability, it can be virtually impossible to re-claim moneys taken when someone has been scammed.
There are too many loopholes to make it trustworthy 100%:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

So - are you going to collect the TomTom from the delivery office...?
If not - care to shjare which delivery office is the subject of your principles?!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
Just to clarify for you Victor, you are not at risk of getting a default from paypal here, you don't have any credit agreement with them to default on and they would have to pursue this through the county court, and win, to enable them to record anything on your credit file.
The fact remains, in the eyes of the law, you did nothing wrong. You don't have to accept non faulty returns when auctioning off personal belongings.
If everything you say is true and you issued a county court claim it is very likely you would win as paypal had no right to issue the refund without your authority and therefore you are not likely to be held responsible for any money they returned.
If they, or their DCA, threatened you with recording negative info on your credit file they may have broken the law.
If you were to claim the money back you would claim it on the grounds that you were under no obligation to refund the item and had considered the sale final and that you were pressured into payment by the dca and now wish to recover that money as you should never have been pursued for it in the first place since it was a second hand item, which belonged to you personally, and you auctioned it off and are not obliged to refund non faulty goods.
you need to send a letter recorded delivery to paypal's surrey address allowing between 7 and 14 days for the return of your money and if it is not forthcoming issue the county court claim online here www.moneyclaimonline.gov.uk
If you look through my other posts you'll find another paypal thread i posted on recently where i give the full surrey address and their phone number, if you can't find it let me know and i'll re-post it here.0 -

Everyone here knows that Paypal is the most douchey company ever. I hate them and their sodding customer services monkeys who can't even read and write decent responses. I hope they choke on their expensive champagne.
Still use them though, damn eBay...Wins: Avene Protective Hydrating Cream; 2 x Calvin harris Tickets @ iTunes Festival.

Yes, I can read thanks. I even managed a whole A* for my English Language thanks
There was no need to be rude. Your posts are very shouty shouty so perhaps I overlooked some details. You need to learn to chill a little and stay calm. Getting agitated and aggressive won't get you far, especially with paypal.
I was just trying to explain that Paypal are morons and won't understand anything other than basic requests.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
