Thanks.
I'm going to give it another go but try more oil. My Bero book says half weight of fat to flour and I see original Delia recipe hag 50g fat plus cheese which has a fat content. Worried that just adding more water will make it gloopy wet rather than stretchy?

hi, we loved the veggie burgers, no knead bread and sweetcorn fritters, was it only us, as i see they have been deleted! Im going to make them all again next week!
I have loved all the recipes we have tasted so far!0 -
Still struggled rolling out the pastry so used a tip off another site and rolled between grease proof paper. Worked a treat but suspect my pie dish is too big as the pastry was so, so thin. Anyway all in the oven now. I hope it was worth all the time I've spent on it!
It was also very costly in terms of the amount of carrot cake I've been forced to nibble during the preparation...GC 2024 £1445.91/£3000

They have probably been dropped from planner 1, but will appear in planner 2 (veggie) or planner 3 (vegan), I am assuming (of course Weezl will come along and confirm). I know people did like the fritters and veggie burgers. Not sure if its just that the bread has been changed to the other one.
Good luck everyone thats following. Reading with interest.

Hello evryone!
Good luck to all the testers.
Hmmm i still haven't worked out the pack lunch probs yet, its meianly because i'm worried how long certain things last outside of the fridge. Or maybe i'm juts being a worrier over nothing. We will be following the meal plan for breakfasts and evening meals. This is for a family of me, OH, DS1 and 2 and none of them know whats going on so it will be a surprise. I have back ups if all goes to pot.
Going to make some carrot cake and spanish omellette tonight. Think my BNS hasn't gone off if its well gone (my fridge is rubbish) we will be having it with potato instead.
Right going to make a start.
See you all in a bit.0 -
im sorry to pop up yet again, but god my tea was blooming lovely! rather early may i add, but wow what a tea. We had the risi e bisi followed by carrot cake. I made the risi e bisi vegetarian by using quorn bacon, and i only used 1 pk of dried peas, as the children have never tried those before! 5 empty plates, with the dog trying to get the last bits stuck to the saucepan! Just waiting for hubby to get home and try his!
Carrot cake to follow went down a treat! I adapted the recipe as I dont use sugar and i made it lower in fat by using 200mls of oil and 200mls of soya milk. I added 3 tablespoons of honey to it instead of sugar. Cake is beautifully light and is now cut into 35 little squares.
Why oh why do people think cardboard food from fast food establishments taste so good, when you can eat all this!
Tasty, Tasty, Tasty! Im so pleased to be able to cook these wonderful recipes that are so frugal. I love that my family all enjoy what I have cooked for them. Thankyou
Can I be a tester for the vege plan when it ready please!0 -
hi all
keggie I checked the flour weights with the delia original and that's ok, so I guess maybe your pie dish is bigger than hers- hers is 8ins if that helps?
hi murrell nice to see you
frugalmum of 4 I think all those faves will return! We look forward to your input when we test the veggie and vegan planners

Hi all!
I seem to have lost my post from earlier. I had my porridge for breakfast but the boys all did without as they still don't like porridge. I am not sure what to do about this one. They will eat porridge oats under many guises, in fact they enjoy oats, but they won't eat porridge.
For lunch we had beans n toast and will do the spicy bean pate for another day as it was really cold here and we needed a warm lunch.
This afternoon the boys spent the afternoon outside working in the garden. DS1 came in looking for 'his' peanut butter. He was shocked to find something different in the cupboard. He has tested it and has asked me to make some for him to take back to uni next weekend.
kezlou, thanks for mentioning the BNS. Is that what we are supposed to be serving with the omelette?business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
