Good luck everybody - hope something happens for you soon! I've not had a sweep myself but friends have and said it's uncomfortable rather than painful.

Well done on the scan Loopy-loo, had my 19 week date through today .Have had one 12 week and one 13w3d, where bubs spent most of the time playing with it's nose (much as its older brother does). I did want to know the sex, then didn't but our hospital generally doesn't tell you. Well now they do apparently so not sure what to do. Am curious but don't know if it will spoil things if I know, and if they can get it wrong don't want to find out. So confused!!

Hi all - I had my dating scan today and they have brought me 3 weeks forward so my due date is now 8th March 2008. Everything is fine with baby (was worried as I am 40!) and I cried - aw............ and it was all on my hubby's birthday so he is well pleased.

Hope everyone is doing ok on here. Haven't been on much as very busy at work (start of new term and all that) but hope to spend a little bit more time on here soon.

    EM xx

  • hi everyone,

i've just got back from my 16wk appt (well 16+4 really :p ) and all is well :D
mw offered to listen for hb but explained that might not hear it, ok i understand that but i was so nervous was untrue!

not only did i hear hb but beanie also kicked the scanner thingy when it ran over it's foot :rotfl:

got appt for my 20wk scan (will be 19+4) & hopefully will find out the sex :D

good luck to all those who are due ... i keep checking to see who is going to be 1st!

    lou x

Is it wrong that I am envious that you get your scan early? I am 20 weeks now but don't get my scan until next week when I will be 21+2 days and I can't wait!!

Anyway, congrats on your good mw appointment.

And on a lighter note, my pregnancy was anoubced in assembly on Friday and put in the school newsletter. Have spent the whole day with parents congratulating me and me being a bit slow, and the fact that it's old news to me, kept thinking "Congratulations? Huh?? What?"
  • Hi All

I am a bit new to this forum thing so apologies if i ramble on...

I got my pregnancy confirmed by the doctor today and think i am about seven weeks but she is booking me in for a scan as i dont really have a clue...

I get married in two weeks and have just started a new job and am also in my last year at uni this year so pregnancy was a shock to say the least.

OH works away and i keep giving him crap cause i feel so sick! and tired which i think is normal and on top of this i still have wedding plans to make.

I am so excited it is unbelievable!!!

our hospital doesnt tell you either, i didnt find out with my daughter and it did my head in never being able to call her anything but 'baby' or 'it'

we found out via 4D scan that this baby is a boy and we LOVE saying 'him' 'his' and actually using his name! it already feels like he has been a member of the family for ages,

if my OH manages to talk me into going through this torture again, then we will definitely be finding out the sex,
although the chances of this are slim... ive told him if he even hints at wanting another baby after the shoddy few months ive had then im going to convince him what he and the kids REALLY want is a puppy....
  • Hi all, can us expectant fathers join this list as well..... If so then please add me to your list - 2nd Baby due 30th November and just as excited about this one as our first...... Wife is not so energetic about it though as she is getting bigger by the week !!! The sex of the baby is not known !!!

    Cheers

I can see both sides CG, and I am tempted - it was a lot easier saying I didn't want to know when I didn't have the choice without a 4D. I think I would quite like to if you can definitely tell. Though to honest, bubs does have a position it likes and that isn't legs akimbo so chances are it won't co-operate anyway! DH can live without knowing - I'm going to this scan with my mum, but there's no way I'd keep shtum as I'm too much of a bigmouth! I'm quite excited whichever way it goes, just don't want to get it wrong. One of my friends found out the sex and named the baby months ago, and is now sick of the name but her daughter picked it, so I dont' think I'd name it early. Scan is on 1st October so will keep you posted! I hope you are doing ok - I seem to have seen your signature for ages and ages and ages - at least it's getting nearer the end!

    Morning all

Well, it seems I have had my kip for the night, and I am going to be shattered later in the day - and probably sleep half of it way. Woke up at 2am, and haven't been able to get back to sleep. Bloddy cough doesn't help either.

    Congratulations Pjcity, tsstss7 and Bozbear.

What has happened to our early Sept mums. Whats the bet you will all have your babies on the same day ;) ?
