I've got months 11 and 12 to look forward to. I have the 'old' T&C's should I follow them or mobile outlet's new T&C's, or are they only applicable to newer customers?

I'm reasonably confident that the T&Cs extant at the point of contracting are the legally binding ones; so stick to those.

I did a belt n braces approach though, and emailed customer services. I stated what I believe I need to do in Month 11 and Month 12, and asked them to confirm that this is the correct procedure. At least you'll have some documentary evidence if things go wrong in 6 months time.

    Good luck.

Does anyone know if you need to send the entire bill(s) or just the front page of each when you submit a cashback request? Help or advice appreciated, thanks.

I think it is the entire bill. If unsure give them a ring.

If you have problems with MO do what I did.

My phone when it arrived came with a Vanilla Mobile invoice. I rang Orange to see who they had as my phone/contract seller and it was E2save. When MO wouldn't sort out my faulty phone (within 30 days of purchase) I rang E2save and a man there listened and contacted MO to arrange for a new phone to be delivered to me the next day even though my phone was now more than 30 days old.

If I have any problems with the cash back I will contact E2save again for them to resolve. All else fails I will go to the small claims court.

  • I have just (today) cancelled my oder with MO.

    Their CS is horrendous.

On 25/9 despite having lived in one house for 29 years, they told me that my debit card was registered somewhere else. The woman then asked me for the card number and, when I couldn't give it immediately, quoted me my security number from the card! She then agreed that it was OK & the phone would be desptched immediately. This process was repeated on 26/9. Today (27/9) I was again told that the phone had not been despatched "because there was a problem with the debit card".

I cancelled, because if they are so inefficient at this stage, what chance is there of getting cashback?

Can anyone recommend a reliable vendor (obviously Poppy9 has discovered that e2save is linked) who is NOT part of OM. Unfortunately I do want a cashback deal!
  • has anyone ONLY send the front page of the bills to MO for the claim request..and got their cash back without any problem?

I actually sent them my claim request one week ago...
with a covering letter and 6 x front page of the bills...
coz i thought the rest of the bills is kind of private stuff...so......

The problem of sending the first page, well with me anyway as I am with Orange, the first page of some statements are just information about their promotions so I will be sending all pages of the bills. I will scan them first then send them. No point risking it.

Having received my month six cashback, I am now looking to the next instalment. My T&cs state send month 11 bill within 21 days, then month 12 bill within 21 days. Have the t&cs changed since, to anyone's knowledge.

I want to take up another cashback deal next year (with a more reputable company!). Do I have to give a month's notice to o2 to cease my account. If I do so at month 11 (to avoid paying any line rental beyond that which attracts cashback), will it invalidate my 2nd cashback instalment. Is there an option to give notice to o2 that I wish to transfer across to payg, as a holding position until 2nd cashback instalment received.

If I take out a new contract after month 12 cashback received, and contract cancelled, can I keep my number (ie port it) even if I take out a further contract with o2 again, via eg a carphone warehouse cashback deal.

This company should be brought to book, they are cheats!!!!!!!
I took two contracts with TMobile through mobile outlet, one in January and one in February, in July I sent for the first cash back and got it after about 3weeks, when in August I sent for the second cash back it took about 1 month for them to get back to me saying it had been refused because I did not send the first bill…
Since I have two contracts with TMobile and they send only one bill for both so mobile outlet are refusing me because the first bill said there had been an earlier bill. I wrote to explain that I took the contract in February so there can not be a bill dated in January and even added a copy of the despatch note that came with the phone in February.
Well after about a month and 1 week they replied to say the review had not been successful because I did not send the January bill.
I have written to them again and this time with a copy of the January bill to let them know that the second phone is not mentioned on it.
If they don’t reply ASAP, it is going to be the small claims court next time
I wonder how they can expect a January bill for a contract taken in February, it’s just a ploy to keep my cash back ….and they are dead wrong, I am going to get it.
I will advise all to stay well clear of this company, they are not worth doing business with.

I had my contract with MO in Jan and sent the cash back claim in June (post 6 months) which was rejected stating that the 1st bill (Jan) was a copy and not the original. The bill was in black and white and did not have a '3' logo- so they thought it was a copy and rejected the cliam- I told them that I have only sent them what I received from '3'- I don't control how '3' issues their Invoices----I got the '3' Manager to confirm with MO on a conference call (me, 3 manager and MO) that the bill I have submitted was the one they issued- still...MO has refused the cash back---then a Customer service advisor with MO asked me that if I get '3' to send the bill (which is in colour and with a logo) they will accept the claim...I did that , got a fresh bill from '3' for the 1st month and sent them....its been around 3 weeks and I have not heard from them. When I called them today, they said that it takes upto 28 days to reply and I should hear sthg next week....I am skeptical that they will refuse with some other nonsense....Any advise on what I should do would be apprecaited.
hey, i had similar experience. my first 2 bills were missing due to they typed in my address wrong. Anyway, i got the manager to confirm my missing bill and wrote to MO, first letter, no responds for 2 months, another one, added"in order to avoid any unhappiness between, please reply me urgently" in the end, they called me and agreed. then when i applied for my cash back, they tried to refused me again! but i recored the time and date they rang me, and asked them to reply to the telephone call, they just sent a cheque! anyway, give 7 days to them to responds, if not, write again and threat court action. they usually would give in if you have complied their T&C.good luck
