Competitions Ending

If they were in a sub section it would make them easy to find & for mods to delete once we are passed the closing date & would not then get to clogged up.

I would just like to say i find the competition ending threads very helpful
I greatly admire the people that give there time to list them:T and feel for them when people have a go (whatever the reason)

An idea that came to my mind (sorry if already been suggested but at this time in the morning didnt feel like reading every single post!)

Why dont we have threads with dates in the title much like now
I.E Competition ending 01/03
but instead of one or two people being solely responsible, anyone that finds a competition can list it there, detailing it in one of two sentences (without the discussion that normally follows!!):rolleyes:

As all competitions have ending dates this should be pretty simple
may be do up to a month in advance?
so at the start of march for example, who ever is in charge would do a list of posts
ending 01/03
ending 02/03
ending 03/03 and so on, for people to post on

I am sure the people that dont like it, or want to chat about the prize, will still post as a normal thread.:A

I'm not really bothered either way, I can take the closing threads or leave them.

I do most of my comping via loquax these days & only venture back to the MSE comps when I'm all caught up over there & want to have a look to see what comps are on this forum.

I've noticed a lot of tension on here though, partly caused by the comps ending threads, so with that in mind, I voted against them.

I'd like to see the forum get back to the happy go lucky place it was before these threads ever appeared.

I've just realised I didn't read the poll options properly

I thought the first one meant to carry on as things have always been, so I voted for that. If I'd realised what the different options meant, I probably wouldn't have voted at all - i don't use the threads, so wouldn't have voted for them, but I don't hate them, so I probably don't feel strongly enough to go for the last option either

Not sure whats going on to many posts to read through them all but unable to find the much appreciated helpful competitions ending 1/3,Link anymore Surely practise makes perfect!
Did we lose are we allowed to continue?
If not that means hours of me trawling through pages,oh well

the threads are under discussion so no more have been made after today for the time being.

URGENT PLEASE READ!!!

right after much discussion between all the board guides we have a proposal to make to everyone and think that we have come up with a great compromise that will suit everyone.

please let us know what you think of the idea.

we will have one comps closing xx date thread allowed this will be posted a day before so for eg. if one was posted today it would be for tomorrows date and so on.

this will be made a sticky daily by which ever board guides spots it first and then moved to game over at the end of the day.

Who posts the thread will be up to users, if it is duplicated then they will be merged in together so there is always only one thread per day.

Please dont fight over who does which day!! you can sort it out amongst yourselves in the comps discussion thread.

we will start this from tomorrow if people like this idea so if someone wants to complie a list for all comps ending 02/03 then that will be made a sticky tomorrow morning.
