How do i get rid of cigarette/nicotine smell from non-washable item?

    PLEASE don't suggest asking my VERY ageing parent to stand outside!!! It's NOT practical and what need IS practical help from SOMEONE!!!!!
    Tried the website A-Z but no tips.

    slice a lemon in half, leave in the room afterwards. helps a lot. or burning a fragrance canle may help, cover it till its gone.

    you can get granules to put in base of ashtray which work well
    some airfresheners have specific smoke smell types, which you could place in room
    charcoal in saucers will also absorb the smell

    How can I get the smell of smoke out of a room, what is the besr air freshener or de-odouriser,

    I've heard that a cloth soaked in white vinegar and whirled around the head does the trick. Haven't tried it myself though.

    I use something called citrus fresh, think i got it from kleeneze or something like that, but i guess you can get it from loads of places now. seems to do the trick, but i guess vinegar is cheaper ;)

    I dont know, but i do know that if you fart, a lit match will get rid of the smell ;D

    A bowl of white/clear vinegar left in the room over night does to the job.

    If the smoke has got into the fabric of curtains and sofas then it is a bit more tricky.
