    Keep your ginger in the freezer and then just grate some when you need it ;)

    You mean to say Cathy, that you don't have pots and pots of ginger plants?? ;D

    Actually, keeping it in the freezer's great (pardon the pun) I keep the skin on and when you grate the ginger frozen, it peels easily.

    My Dad grows ginger, but I haven't been able to get hold of him today to ask him about it. However I did find something about it here.

    On the BBC's coverage of the Chelsea Flower show last week Charlie Dimmock was showing a very striking tall leafy Ginger plant, it looks well worth the effort

    I read on the forums some time ago a thread about planting ginger.
    Cannot now seem to find it, though.
    Does anyone know what to do??
    When to dig up...etc etc
