Thought i would update to let u know how i am getting on:rolleyes:

Doing ok, but could be better, hubby is not helping matters, keeps giving me things that i know i shouldnt be having!!! i really find it a struggle not being able to get help with weight loss ie go to meetings etc

Been getting out walks though, which is fantastic for me as i suffer from agrophobia so thats a big thing for me.

    Hi Lois
Unfortunately my birthday week finally caught up with me and I gained two pounds this week, am disappointed but it was not unexpected after eating out every night for a week lol! Well done Suggs! Wish it was me. Anyway got to run and get off to work. Thanx to everyone, hope next week's much better. CHeers

Thanks Lois for updating the chart - although I am not as virtuous as my total weight loss seems as after I stopped trying at Easter I put that weight back on and more so my total loss is only 7lb - still half a stone better off!

Congrats to all the losers and maintainers.

Congrats Suggs on SOTW - despite what you think you deserve it and I'm sure nobody minds so long as we are all losing and on the way down to a happy healthy weight.

Had a curry last night and I'm off to be weighed tonight - I didn't feel like going to aquafit after eating but decided I should and worked hard to burn off my tea!

    Have a good day!

    Morning Lovely Peeps :D

We've had a power cut this morning so I've only just had a quick scan through all the posts...

...firstly a big Thank you as ever to Lois for the chart :T and Well done! Suggs :T for SOTW (yes you do deserve it! so there!) also, what a fabulous load of losses there are this week :T :T to each and everyone of you, this makes plenty of room for all the lovely newbies that have joined us. jab and casper don't worry about the gains this week, you can't change them but you can change your ways during the coming week for a better result next weigh in :) ...

...however!!! I'm sorry, but I just can't find it in my heart to be so unforgiving to Sa1 viz:-

Speedy and slightly miserable post of a 1lb gain.
Not that surprised, as I haven't been to the gym at all and I haven't been watching what I eat as closely as I should.

I'm thinking I may deserve the smacked bottom, or even worse... the crushing stick... Bad Sa1!!
Anyway, day one club today... Here's hoping no one else needs to join me!

...I think a couple of you are too forgiving given the somewhat flippant nature of her post so Sa1 have a thoroughly deserved smackbum2we3.gif and stickzu7.gif not that it gives me any pleasure :rotfl: :rotfl: rotfloc4.gifrotfloc4.gif...

...Lydia I looked at your plan and thought that it seemed to lack sufficient protein, personally I think that there isn't enough in a bit of philly and a small slice of ham. I find that, although I love fruit and veges, sometimes they don't seem to 'satisfy' and that I need protein fix! but that's just my opinion :o ...

...be back in a bit ...

Morning All - Thanks for the chart Lois and well done to all the losers and to Suggs for SOTW :T

Someone asked about a SW curry - this is the recipe I use. Its meant to be syn free (although I add more stock than the recipe states and it makes it about 1- 1.5 syns for the whole lot)

    SW Curry Sauce

    Tin tomatoes
    Onion
    tbsp Sweetner
Curry powder (1-2 tbsp depending on taste)
    Garlic
    Ginger
Stock (chicken or personal preference) -recipe states 4 tbsp but I use about half a pint

Spray pan with fry light, gently cook onion, some ginger and garlic until onion is soft. Add curry powder and cook over gentle heat for a further minute. Add tin tomatoes and sweetner and gradually add stock. I tend to add about half a pint and let it reduce. If I have time I blend the sauce and then cook chicken/veg/whatever I want to add to it. Yum!

.... oooh, don't mind if I do, my morning has perked up already ;)

Can someone who knows how to cook (ie certainly not me :rotfl: ) please answer a question for me? I was wondering if I could make a white sauce by reducing some stock in a pan then adding a dollop of creme fraiche or fromage frais or something? Would that work or would it not homogenise? Free 'tomato type' sauces are easy on SW but I've never made a free white sauce. Ta in advance.

    Right, back to my :grouphug:......

How much more have you left lois, it is coming off nicely for you:D

Hi Victory - I'm aiming for a total weight loss of 100lbs, so I've got a way to go yet, especially considering the way I manage to go down and then back up again :o but I'm focussed like never before, so it's all systems go! :D
