  • Hi ladies still catching up as usual
Lush in Bath has a kinda scary looking guy as a staff member much as you describe but he is so lovely I can't tell you..last time I was in he had me feeling his arms to see how soft his skin was from his bath the night before and then smelling his forearms to see how good he smelled. He didn't look like he would smell good but he did....anyway from being a bit surprised by the fact he didn't look like a bathing beauty he's actually just lovely..:o:)
I think he may actually think your rather lovely too:D;)

Completely agree - the best hairdresser Ive ever had was a man - hes in London doing the stars now (but at the time he was in Shaftsbury!) and hes fantastic - chiefly I think, because hes a bloke, and he knows what blokes like to look at ;)
My hairdresser (lovely bloke) has also left and i need to find a new one when i have my next cut, and i do agree with your statement he definately made me look fab cause he knew what my dh would like. His own girlfriends hair was gorgeous, very a la Cheryl cole (lucky gal)

I always found the best trainees to wash my hair in the salon I used to go to were the young men. They really knew how to massage my head, I could have stayed there all day ;)

    Another place to visit perhaps??:D

On a toiletries note nothing new finished but am getting through hand cream at a rate of knots. Have a terrible cold and feeling really dizzy as have not had good sleep either recently, my brain seems to be in overdrive.
On a social/ personal development note, my social life has really picked up (had a big loss of confidence due to lack of soacialising during 3 awful pregnancies (constantly sick) and then very difficult fractious (sp) babies plus ds2 health probs and dh health probs) I went over to a friends house last night and we had a lovely time. We were chatting about our top 5 hot celebs and both of us guilty admitted to having a soft spot for that young slip of a lad Justin timberlake:o... but hey if its ok for Cameron diaz:rotfl::D

Anyhow off to have a soak and see if that helps my cold

    Nab

    xx

Evening ladies, am just trying to catch up, might take me a few days lol :rotfl:
:DChampneys miracle body butter cream - WIBA, yes, yes, yes! Love this. It's a really nice product to use with a lovely smell. The set I found is the bath and shower products to match. I would like to try another body butter - sounds like BOdy SHop coconut is a fav here?
This smells so lush, got some at Mother's Day, can't wait to use it :D
Off out in a while for our Speedway team's Press & practise day - I shall be standing out in the open all afternoon next to the track taking photos so by the time I get home will be rather dusty so hairwash tonight I think - a final chance before we go away to make some more headway into the Tresemme Shampoo - I'm dying to finish it so I can move on to one of my posher brands! :rotfl:

    Have a good day everyone!
Off-topic, but didn't realise you also did a bit of photography, EH - I've not done much lately, other priorities in life, but nice to see another snapper here :D

Things I've used up so far this week are:
No 7 Gentle Foaming Cleanser. WBA? No, too gentle for my skin. Did nothing for it. The No 7 one for combination to oily skin is supposed to be better.
I used up most of my No 7 gentle cleanser that came with the No 7 Ultimate set from Xmas, and found it far too gentle for my combination skin. Will use the rest come autumn/winter when my skin won't be as shiny. Am using the combination/oily one you mentioned now and do find it far more suitable :)

    Hi everyone,

Who said they epliapted under their arms? Well like the fool I am I tried it, wasn't convinced the pain should be that bad and though maybe I'm doing something wrong :o Tried it under the other arm and just couldn't do it!!! OMG who ever you are? (I'm convinced it's LiR) you must have armpits of steel  But on my legs I have no probs, it's the best thing I've bought and apart from the ingrowing hairs it's just brilliant :D

Off for a bath and to use up some stuff. Will use a sample fashwash I got yesterday, can't remember what it is or were it is :p
Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.

Oh gawd trudij, I feel your pain! Bung it on yer feet every night with socks on over the top. It might keep the smell at bay?
I have reached a decision, the John Frieda stuff I got for Christmas is going to be brought into work (the serum and the conditioner). I like the shampoo. I don't need to condition my hair when I use it. I hate the conditioner. It feels and looks like phlegm. It smells gack and it seems to dry my hair out. The serum- what's that all about? It's like I've not washed my hair in a week when I use that. I got up for work the other morning at 6 and looked in the mirror and couldn't believe it. I knew I'd washed my hair the night before but it was gross.
So John Frieda hair products WIBA? Erm let me think, shampoo if cheap, the rest, no chance!
After a few trial and errors, I found the best way it works for me (Shine Shock, but it's still a JF serum) is squeeze out a Cadbury's Button size blob on my palm, rub it together, and work that through the ends of my soaking wet hair first. Then I squeeze out a pea-sized blob after rubbing it in my palms, slide it through the top parts of my hair, trying to spread it over as many areas as possible. If I use too much on the top, I also get the 'chicken fat' look but this method seems to keep it lovely and soft without the dull heaviness :)

My hair is shoulder-blade length - hope this helps

Well the ghastly John Frieda stuff has gone, whoopee! My friend at work was really chuffed to receive it so I'm happy on two counts. I had tried lots of different ways of using it but just couldn't get on with it.
Also used up today kids toothpaste (so they tell me!) and bottle of mouthwash.
Need to get something heavy duty on my nose, it's all peely and flaky from this cold. I still feel ghastly but it's going a bit I think. I don't know about you lot but if I'm ill at home in bed then I always feel worse than if I just get on with it and continue to work. (Obviously not when I have had flu- I wouldn't have got out of bed if someone had dropped £50 on the floor by my bed!).

Can you get a hold of yellow soft paraffin?
Very cheap and seems to last ages....still using one (small tube) from when DD was in hospital....around 4 years ago:o
Round the rim of the nostrils overnight and the relief is always palpable.:)
Not just a sucker for sweeties..:o

:eek:have resisted buying a magazine which had a few Neals yard cream with it and bought a different one instead!
I seem to be getting through lots of hand cream too , just as well that I have plenty:D

You lot seem to have more expensive taste than me, I used to be a Boots tart but I now just have the occasional o.n.s in there when the need takes me:o

It may of been me as I have no problem epilating underarms, just make sure that the hairs are not too long as that can make it painful.
