He has not confirmed the method how he applied for Tesco CC...it is possible he could have applied instore and not online like i have.

RBS Group are funny like this - sometimes they just search one or the other, sometimes they search both. It depends what information you supply on the application, what information they already hold about you, and whether or not they get enough information from one CRA. And as you say, it varies depending on how you apply.

I remember several years ago I applied for a loan with RBS over the telephone, and they exclusively searched EQ. Something messed up so I had to cancel that app and re-apply in branch, where they exclusively searched EX. Just go with the assumption that they'll search both.

There are plenty of lenders that search EX only (Egg, HBOS Group, LTSB) and some that search EQ only (Barclaycard, Sygma).

I was thinking about that on the bus earlier! My uni account is still screwed. I went in and complained that it still wouldn't work, they couldn't find what I'd printed this morning (allegedly, it's now disappeared off the list when it should stay if unclaimed for 24 hours). So doens't look like I'm going to be sending proof any time soon. Going to reply to that email saying if they are so concerned about security I can upload drivers license/passport pic/uni card etc, otherwise will they process it subject to confirmation, and that they may not have the identical printed copy to what I emailed for a while at this rate! I don't understand why they have to be so picky. They will get exactly the same printout, no change at all. If they want a printout that much, for their records, they can print it themselves :mad:
