It MIGHT have worked a few years ago, but i guess they have stopped doing it.

Oh well, never mind. Guess it passed some time if nothing else.

    RE: 30-day rule on Equifax.

Here's a Copy & Paste regarding a prior dispute raised with EQ:
Credit Agreement - VIRGIN MOBILE TELECOMS LTD (I)

As Equifax has not yet received a response to your query, we have removed this account from your credit report until we get a reply from the company. We will contact you again once they have informed us of the outcome of their investigation. We have created a new report for you so you can view this change.

The note previously added to your credit report, stating that your information was in dispute has now been removed.

You’ll find more information about your credit report at: https://www.equifax.co.uk/help. If you have a question, you should find the answer in our FAQ section. If not, you can send us an online query, and attach your documents to it - no need to worry about them getting lost or delayed in the post.

I hope you find this useful. If there’s anything else we can do for you, please let us know.

    Kind regards

    Equifax Customer Services

It's CC and EX that leave dispute open indefinitely. EQ remove data between the time the dispute has been left without response for 30 days and the time the creditor actually respond ;)

Not so much now mate - the CRA's have clamped right down since the judgement 24th December. People were crying out for incorrect data to be removed and the CRA's seem to have just stopped the process - maybe the odd one like Virgin cos that's utility, but credit related items will stay on until the lender confirms it is ok to remove the entry. ;)

I received that response from Equifax on the 4th of January :o

As you say, maybe it's because of it being a utility, but AFAIK it's quite simply an Equifax policy that differs from EX and CC ;)

same here mate. I've been waiting for nearly 2 months 4 my name show show up on electoral roll after a !!!! up by my council. i registed to vote in june but when i got my EX report in december, it said i was removed from ER in october. i phoned them up and they said my council said i did not return my form in august which wasnt true. got in touch with the council and they realised they had removed me by mistake. they apologised and promised to put me on the february register. Now they say I am registed but EX haven't updated it yet. Funny thing is that Equifax said I had been on ER since June. I always checked but they never once took me off. I really do wish more lenders use EQ solely.;)

I spoke to Jacamo, I have had lots of items go missing since joining them - basically Hermes are rubbish and cant deliver a parcel (leave it outside my flat door when I am at work) or Royal Mail lose it when the strikes were on, so they reduced my limit, if I complain is there any way of getting the credit limit re-instated? this si not gonna look good on my credit file!

You say they reduced your limit - I presume this is because you withheld payment for the items that didn't arrive?
