I spoke to Jacamo, I have had lots of items go missing since joining them - basically Hermes are rubbish and cant deliver a parcel (leave it outside my flat door when I am at work) or Royal Mail lose it when the strikes were on, so they reduced my limit, if I complain is there any way of getting the credit limit re-instated? this si not gonna look good on my credit file!

They have reported you mate - betcha anything Synectics have pulled you for the missing parcels - its the biggest fraud going and companies now refer to Synectics Solutions - this is why your limit was dropped, you're high (extremely) risk!

Each customer is scored for risk. Any customer who claims for goods lost in transit which require investigation are referred to the Mail Order fraud investigators by a set of rules which have been agreed with each organisation. All matching and analysis reports are provided securely over the Internet through browser based software applications.

No - its like N Hunter/CIFAS mate but specific to mail order. Basically you'll struggle to get mail order (catalogues) as they deem you/your address high risk. ;)

Perhaps this is why I got a rejection letter back from Littlewoods to say no, but it advised on the letter that "no unfavourable information was found on my credit report and this was not the reason for the decline"??? They invited me to appeal saying if I can send in some more favourable information they'll reconsider... can't be bothered TBH don't want a catalogue that badly but perhaps I have a high risk address, too....

well I am going to fight this, I aint happy at all, what have I done wrong? shoddy delivery firms, what do they expect, I am so annoyed!

6 years mate - you can SAR Synectics Solutions if you want to....?

    Synectics Solutions Ltd.
    Synectics House,
    The Brampton,
    Newcastle Under Lyme,
    Staffordshire.
    ST5 0QY

But they usually respond stating they do not hold any details, they technically don't - they've passed them (electronically) back to the lender that performed the search/request.

Actually mate you'll find you're responsible for ensuring parcels get to you safely. If you allow Hermes to leave at your door then you should report them to the catalogue and remind them to ban it. Obviously you've not done this thus they've had no alternative but to kinda drop you - you may find they will eventually want rid of your custom, once account is paid up.

To be fair you could have prevented this after the first parcel went missing - assuming there are several? They would not take such drastic action on one missing parcel, no matter the value. It is designed to stop apparent fraud mate. :p
