Well I managaged a completely AF evening but I still feel hungover to a dreaded cold.

Ah well at least the cold I got for free :rotfl:

It really helped me knowing that I could come on here and find some support so thank you to everyone :T

Tonight is going to be another biggie to get over. Saturday night is always a boozy night but I must remain strong.

The week is OK because I never drink when I've got work the next day and I work Mon to Fri so that's no problem. It's just the weekends.

I need to start a hobby or something.

Just reporting in to our Lovely HoneyBear (well if I don't she may use the force :eek:) it is snowing here and so Mr BB and I have walked down to Spoons, and I am happy to report just one large cappucinno (sp) for me

I feel in a very focused anti alcohol frame of mind at the moment. Constant vigilance though so 5/365 amd 2/31 for me please Dear HB. Hope you are ok hunny? Btw do you have snow? Hugs me dear (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Pbt hugs sweetheart and sorry to hear you have a cold, but please do try to get to an AA meeting if you think it will help you, as Bis says there are people there from all walks of life. That is the thing you see alcohol holds no discrimination it will grab hold of whom ever it can and gain control. (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxx

And that my dear friends is where Budgie is at, at the moment seeing alcohol as someone/thing that wants to control Dear Budgie. So Budgie is fighting back

I do not consider myself to be an alcholic but I must admit to myself that I do not just stop at one drink. I have one and want more, I have the same relationship with crisps

So is that just my personality and an Oliver Twist trait

or is it something more

hi all,
AF last night and tonight - am kind of forgetting its weekend :rolleyes: but finding it easy really atm. been shopping in Manchester today and had a coffee whilst waiting for the train - usually its a wine!

Snow very bad in my part today; traffic going no where again! hey ho!

am sleeping good already and thinking of a 100 day challenge.

Evening all,

Not a happy bunny at the moment. Remember when DD1s ex attacked her a few weeks ago? Well he rang the landline for her earlier on!! OH and I cant believe the cheek of it! I remained calm though and said she was out. OH then rung the police to see what was going on and they said to ring back monday! I then promptly rung up Virgin and have asked them to change my number, my phones dead so summat must be happening now. Pain in the 'arris.
Forgot to say, DDs friend was okay once she sobered up. They got home at 5.30am and can you believe that out of all ten 17 yr old girls that were out in london for the first time at that time of the morning, I was the only parent to ring and see if they were ok?! The girls dad didnt bat an eyelid that she was so drunk and home so late!

Evening all to regulars & newbies ( & hi to lurkers too:wave:)....been asleep on sofa as got a sore throat & feeling a bit poorly....watching Bill Murray in Scrooged on TV & got beef stew simmering in my slow cooker.

Going to have a restful evening here .....keep forgetting what day it is....too many days off over the holidays:o:o
