    Evening all,

Not a happy bunny at the moment. Remember when DD1s ex attacked her a few weeks ago? Well he rang the landline for her earlier on!! OH and I cant believe the cheek of it! I remained calm though and said she was out. OH then rung the police to see what was going on and they said to ring back monday! I then promptly rung up Virgin and have asked them to change my number, my phones dead so summat must be happening now. Pain in the 'arris.

Some people are unbelievable! And that goes for the police too! Let us know what they say Monday

Forgot to say, DDs friend was okay once she sobered up. They got home at 5.30am and can you believe that out of all ten 17 yr old girls that were out in london for the first time at that time of the morning, I was the only parent to ring and see if they were ok?! The girls dad didnt bat an eyelid that she was so drunk and home so late!

Glad she's ok but  for all the parents - bet you were the only one sober too so thank god for you :A

  • Morning. I've got a stinking streaming cold...yuk!

Anyways I'm AF for the number of days of the month!

I would like to go to AA meetings but it's so hard for me to sort childcare...are they always in the evenings?

The meeting I go to runs from 12:30 to 2 p.m. and I have seen four week old babys there. I know of folks who will travel over 20 miles to attend.

    More info here:

Make the call and good luck.

Imposed by Social Services. The alternative was for the baby to be taken into care.

P.S. I spoke to the mother last week and she is doing really well. The baby is now two!

    Evening everyone

    How are we all doing?

HB - 2 for me please as won't be drinking tonight!

PBT - Hope you are feeling a bit better this evening. I've also got a streaming cold. Its just not funny!!

SSA - same for you. Keep yourself dosed up and warm

Budgie - sounding very positive...its good to hear!

Jo - Not good news about DD's ex - hope it gets sorted.

OH and I have been busy bee's today. Trip to Ikea this morning (Piglet was in heaven playing in all the kitchens and bedrooms :rotfl:) and then we have been to Toby carvery this evening whilst Piglet was at his Granny and Grampys. Ashamed to say I ate till I was stuffed :o Roll on Monday when I'm back on the diet....

Was thinking about the whole 'using former alcohol money for improving myself' thing this evening. I text my best friend who is also trying to lose weight...and we have both agreed to save alcohol money towards a spa weekend later in the year. Its something I've always thought I couldn't afford...yet I felt I COULD afford £15-£20 a week for wine  Made me realise what a better quality of life I could have if I didn't drink. So she's going to find a nice place for us to go and we will get it booked. Feel really happy about it!:j
