    Morning all,

Thinking about you thus morning MM.

Maz, hope your GTT goes OK.

We had a better night last night. Caitlin went to sleep at 8pm and slept until just before 3am. I changed her nappy and fed her, both of which were done by 3:30am, so I thought "excellent, plenty of time to go back to bed for some sleep". But Caitlin had other ideas and DH and I were up and down to her room until 5am (DH gets up at 6:30am for work). I don't mind being up an hour with her, but two hours is a bit too long.

She stayed asleep until 6:45am before wanting another feed. She then fed on and off for about an hour (previously unheard of in this house, she used to be a 10 minute feed kinda gal!), so I've been catching up on here whilst she fed. I was hoping that we'd both be able to go back to sleep for an hour, but she's wide awake laying on the bed of me, smiling, kicking and gurgling away to herself, so doesn't seem much chance of that! Suppose I'd better get her (and me) up and dressed really.

Not sure what to do today. We're not meeting anyone or going out anywhere, so I was planning to go for a walk with her, but it's raining and I don't like walking in the rain (makes my hair go frizzy :D). Might pop up to Tesco and order a photo mousemat for MIL's birthday next week and then do some housework. DH never moans about the lack of housework that I do, but I think he got a bit fed up of the bits on the carpet on Monday as he got the hoover out since I hadn't hoovered for two weeks :o

I need to do my menu plan for September today, since it's the 2nd and I haven't done it yet.

    Good Morning:)

I don't seem to have much spare time to pop in lately, although I suppose I won't have any soon:p

We went to the child-minder's house yesterday and all three loved it:D I am so relieved, I was actually quite concerned that the older two wouldn't. Anyway, she really, really lovely, and the atmosphere in the house is so laid-back. She is naturally good with the kids and she couldn't wait to get her hands on Kai and cuddle and play with him:)

I am a bit gutted, as I had worked hard to recover my credit rating after a bad spell quite a few years back, anyway these last couple of months of maternity leave have been really hard and I have missed a few payments on things....resulting in me now not being able to open a student account:mad: I am really annoyed at myself (not that I could have done much about it) as I really needed that money to buy a little car to get to Uni and back:rolleyes:

I didn't manage to get into town yesterday so have to go today (AF visited in style after 7 1/2wks)....the kids go back tomorrow and still need lunch boxes, socks and belts.

    Mel x

Havent caught up properly but just wanted to let MM know i will be thinking of you today.

Elle, I bought some pots a bit larger than those in Home Bargains. I think they came in a pack of 5 or 6 and were only 50p.

Hope everyone has a good day. Off to fill the slow cooker now, straighten my hair and get ready to go out x

AF if I'm thinking of the right venue it's near enough to a station but if going to a concert you'd prob have to leave before it finishes to make the last train :)

Might you been thinking of the MEN Sami? That's right by Victoria, but I seem to recall the Apollo is not close to the centre (but I could be wrong!)

    Is there a BLW guru?

Gill Rapley, she's some kind of director for the baby friendly inititive, that's who you're thinking of btw Susan :-)

Celia had another horrendous nights sleep last night, I think she constipated but I'm going to pop her to the doctors this morning for a check up as she's really just not Herself. We're a miserable pair atm!

Oh, I forgot to say, I took her to weighed yesterday and she's now 10lb 4.5oz. I mentioned her constipation to the HV he scales and how I was only getting one dirty nappy evert two days. I took off her nappy to put her on the scales and, guess what there was inside!! Although, when the HV said "that's a nice big poo", I said "that's tiny compared to what she's been doing the past week" and the HV looked a bit shocked (TMI, but it was about 5cm in diameter) and she told me to try 1oz of cooled boiled water once or twice a day. Just got her changed and dressed and no sign of any poo today yet :(

I can't believe I've just written a post that is nearly all about poo :o

    ladies,

    does anyone know manchester??

if so, how central is the manchester apollo??? eg. to train station etc?

i could google, but i thought i'd ask you ladies first

    x

The Apollo is just outside the city centre. The nearest train station is piccadilly, but I would guess it's a good 20 min walk, and as Sami said, these things usually finish after the last train

Piggy Charlotte manages to scoff two weetabix and milk on a morning :D She loves weetabix and won't have anything else. She likes it warmed up in the microwave for a few seconds rather than cold.

She was up early again this morning but no book today, so I sent her back to bed. She went but she was singing that happy happy birthday song they do on Cbeebies at the top of her voice :rotfl:
He only ever manages 2 when he's been to bed with little or no tea just before, he is only iccle.
He has his warm too with a squeeze of honey :D

    I love the birthday song!

I'm not that dumb :p Apollo is further out than MEN, takes 15 - 20mins to walk to from picadilly train according to google maps walking directions ;)

I was just thinking this morning that I should remind anyone that uses formula to make bottles up in mls not oz do you do that?
The boxes tell you to use (for example) 5oz/150ml water and 5 scoops but 5oz is actually only 142ml so if you make them up in oz's you're actually making it up too concentrated.

Please anyone doing them in oz don't feel bad, I did it too and its all the stupid formula companies fault for even putting oz on their packaging!!

i seem to remember the apollo being near a maccy ds but thats about it :rotfl: i went many moons ago!

i am currently debating what to do friday morning. tickets go on sale for them crooked vultures at 9am and i am wondering if its worth going to the actual venue and queueing to make sure i get tickets. they are a supergroup with dave grohl :happyhear:smileyhea:love::iloveyou: , john paul jones from led zeppelin and alain johannes from queens of the stone age! not going to this is simply NOT an option :eek: do i risk buying online or do i make the massive effort of leaving the house before midday??
