14:25PM Thu 29 June 2006
O2 is preparing for a major overhaul of its consumer tariff portfolio for next month, in a bid to convert prepay customers onto contract.

Anyone got more info on this????0 -
Am on O2 PAYG so may consider this if they are cheap enough + free phone. Noted their site was down yesterday when trying to top up so perhaps they were getting it all ready0

I have a question as I am on an online deal for £35.00 and I get 750 minutes and 750 messages. Is there going to be new online deals or are they all going to merge into one offering from o2?
Also I hate to tempt fate but why does o2 offer allows use of 0800, 0845, 0870 numbers from inclusive minutes as every other network has now stopped this do you think this is to come for o2 customers?
Surely o2 is making a loss on them if it costs roughtly 3.3p to 5p to call 0870 but you can call from 2p on o2?
Also if you are already on an o2 deal over £35.00 a month will you be able to add long weekends?
Aslo again with t-moblie offering unlimertied web for £7 a month do you think o2 will be offering it soon, along with new tarrifs is o2 going to be offering free broadband???
So many questions.... lol
Thanks..0 -
I wondered about the chance of a broadband tie up - aren't o2 interested in AOL, or is that all press hype?
Seems the Tmobile deals over last 3or 4 months REALLY hurt them - manager in Luton store said it had & judging by the number of customers, NOT in the o2 shop, I guess he's right.
Vodafone are also offering reasonable online offers too. & eventually did a VERRRRRY good package to keep Mrs V as a Voda customer.
No doubt they'll all use the summer months to test the offers, then totally confuse us agin with pre-Christmas promotions!!

@HeyHo
Im afraid i cant say for online as i havent a clue or access, i assume it will be a 02 company switch not just one division
So best advise is to wait and see, cant say aymore than that im afraid

These tariff changes have just killed O2 for any business I put toward them.
Because of their basic 12 month tariff:
£20 50mins 25texts
This is changed from:
£19 50mins 100texts
IE. More expensive, but with a 75% reduction in texts. In the last year I've pointed about 6 people toward this tariff, and now its no longer worth it. There are far better offers elsewhere.
So long O2, nice knowing you.DONE: Great North Run 09! Raised £452 for the National Autistic Society

Will they still do double time and double texts for the first 6 months? Was offered 500 mins and 100 texts for £30 (doubled to 1000 and 200 for 6 months) on the phone just to CPW
The equivalent on the new tarrifs would see me get
600 mins
100 texts
Long Weekend Calls
If this will be doubled then it;s great. If not, I might be tempted to order today.
Shall I wait?0 -

I think the double offer will continue bcoz CW have this offer listed in the July guide book available in their stores.
