    Xmas Saver!
Right ladies - the moment we have all been waiting for Santas Challenge (July).

This challenge came to me while eating a chocolate eclair, "naughty but nice".....

Naughty (Not the nicest part of the challenge)
Ladies, were over half way through the year and it won't be long before the shops start getting their christmas stock in.

(SorrY) - Empty the freezer, scrape all the ice, and find all those hidden surprises, that Brussel sprout or pea that always seems to of escaped and plays hide and seek.
Do a check on the food, is there anything you can make into meals for the freezer.

Nice (where the chocolate (or banana comes into action!!)
Ladies, this is treat time, slot uself 2 hrs just for you, grab ur favourite xmas film + put ur feet up, film on and enjoy your chocolate (u can upgrade to a box of chocs!!)

    Enjoy xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Fantastic!! I reckon I can do that :D ... not sure I have any christmas films though? ... I think DS does though. When does it have to be done by? and as I have 2 freezers do they both have to be done?

A heartbreaking message from my banana.

    Mum2one had a great idea
To make Christmas fun this coming year
So there’s an exciting challenge afoot
I’ve been placed in this bowl and told to stay put
I’ve not been eaten like all my kin,
I noticed this morning brown marks on my skin
Now choccy says I have to be frozen
Don’t know why it was me chosen
Could somebody tell her it’s dark and cold
"Stay in the freezer" is what I’ve been told.
I just can’t wait for this challenge to start
Oh! come on ladies have a heart
I’m so upset I’ve started squeeling
I’m in this place it’s not appeeling

    :rotfl::rotfl: I love it !!!
furrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:

Rusty- those scrapooks in Wilkos were they on offer or just normal stock?
Think it was Sarah who mentioned woolies doing to movies for juniors for £1, cineworld cinemas do this every saturday morning with a selection of 3 films. Children and adults tickets are both £1 and the kids popcorn box things are half price.

Just in their normal stock :) they are the sugared paper ones, part of their basics range bit like smartprice but think they call it right price or something?

Is there any info on the cineworld website do you know?

    Xmas Saver!

The dividers (just a suggestion - you may want to use them a different way or rename).

Birthday - The idea behind Birthday section is you can keep a check on all birthdays throughout the year
We all work differently, I spreadsheet mine, and update, following on from Jammys fab idea - keep this yrs final list - as that way you won't double up next year

Christmas - Similar idea - keep for christmas presents,
Maybe do ur lists as families, school, work, what ever you find the best for you - again keep the list so you dont double up next yr.

Household- This covers freezer, pantry, fridge, meal planning (use seperate paper)
Once that Lovely Freezer has been sorted!, then we can do lists of items that we need for Christmas, each section has their own food, as shops bring in Xmas stock so early, and I always find that by Mid Nov, I can never find Packet Brandy Sauce. Gives us a chance to list what we think we need and helps the budget

    Cards -
Work through the diary, the address book, those relatives that we never see but have to have an xmas card,
Maybe do your lists in sections, families, work, and check any that need posting

Extras - Those little expenses that add up.
Wrapping paper, sellotape, curling ribbon, postage stamps, florist wrap

    Calender -
Method in my madness - will find the link for organised thread, but was thinking of suggesting printing off Oct / Nov / Dec or write a month per page - this way any dates such as school plays, delievery of presents, school fetes etc, who you have to drop presents off to

    Recipies
This will be revealed on 25th July (as I was so exicted, and done Julys early)

    Info
The extra bits of Info that comes in useful at Xmas, silly but essential -Turkey defrosting times, what size Turkey will I need for 10 people, last dates of posting

    Challenges
Just incase you want to print the challenges out.

    Countdown
Again each persons countdown is different, you might want all ur cards wrote by Aug, Presents wrapped by Oct,
Also there be checklists posted on the thread, (found in xmas mag few yrs ago- keeps getting recycled

    Money neutral
The money neutral element is from our wonderful sister thread, (as brill suggestion from Sarah), add this to the folder, and we can keep updateing as and when, know on Jammys its the 1st of the month update

    Homemade Gifts
Another wondeful suggestion from Sarah(thank you), great section as you can add and do what you need, maybe have a page per person that u have to make homemade gifts for.

Some things you may think great that make a good section, others you might find you can double up, throughout the next fews months there be odds and sods posted, and you might think great that would be fab under that section.

Quick adjustment - Brain was going 10 to the dozen.

If use the black font as the words on the tabs for the dividers, where the info is I have just made some suggestions to start you off with, I sound so bossy, (promise I am nice), if by Aug 24th everyone could get the tabs in place, be brilliant.

The idea behind the folder is that we can add to it as and when and more to keep the info in one place, and the folder can be used again next Xmas,as we'd of put the hard work in this yr.

If you find urself with 5 mins spare, and you think I'll write my xmas card list, or I'll do the list for wrapping paper etc, its one of those that you pick and mix what applies to you. Choose which elements you find works best for you.

Come Xmas for us - we have 85 people - HELP!! - family, friends, school, friends who live away, gets complicated, so need to be organised. I'm lucky weve got 3/4 done, so I've set a spreadsheet up with their names, present, who off (mum+dad, me or dd), then on another piece of paper listed them into families - some presents to take to Devon -Devon, - Bev, Maureen+ Barry, , Graham (hes the main person so he has his familes present- Graham, Pat, Tom + Joe.

Grab an A4 pad - that way it can be used as and when needed.

Every Santas Challenge - I'll add some info related to Xmas, and you can print it off for your folder, be things like turkey defrosting times, what weight turkey is suggested for 4, 6, 8 people.

The recipies - as we had Julys Santa Challenge early, bursting to get it on, will do a mini Santas challenge on July 24th - then the recipe suggestion will make sense.

Apologies for babbling on - just shout if ur stuck with anything.

(Have to confess got to have a look at the Organized Xmas site incase theirs any ideas we can use).

Now the Notebook Mystery will be solved

This will now be our little black book for xmas, how you use it varies to how many people you have left etc

Borrowing Choccys suggestion, she puts name,(age if child) budget, any allergies, likes/dislikes

That way where ever you are and you spot that must have bargain, or you have crafted that fab item, you can check ur book, and say yes there having it.

I have tried to be gentle, and throughout the months were put suggestions in for the folder, but let us know how ur folder is going, pics of those decorated files xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
