Please can someone advise I am really worried as I dont want and did not apply for products am guessing they were done online as I got an e-mail and then letter in post. Wont it bug**r up my chance of starting a DMP?
Thanks bex.xx

Just wondered has anyone had any experience with Aegis? Got a letter saying to contact them urgently re MBNA account. I thought MBNA used RMA. I also got a card from RMA saying they will be calling on Friday.
Do you have a card and a loan with MBNA ?
We have an MBNA Credit Card and that was passed to Aegis when we stopped paying.
came up with all sorts of bull about paying arrears before DMP would start etc.
Just be firm with them, they will hound you to make debit / credit card payments to bring accounts upto date.
Just be polite and stand your ground. If they threaten debt collectors .. its all hot air.
Their main callcentre seems to be in Mumbai so expect "interesting calls!"LBM - Oct - 08 DMP Started - Feb -09

If someone is using your details to obtain credit accounts, then that is fraud!!! Have you accessed your credit file recently?
If your creditors think you are still applying for credit, they will more than likely kick up a fuss.
I would contact your DMP provider for advice on this.

Both hubby and I have a credit card each with them. So I have more phone calls to look forward to:T My phone lets me see who is calling and I have just been not answering them lately as it is so exhausting to get into anything with them.DMP Mutual Support Thread No 278

The creditors will think yeah right I am trying it on. I have however phoned Vanquis and told them I dont want a card and that has been stopped before its started. I cant prove the fraud thing I know now whats happened (bit delicate to put on here) its a quidco thing with a family member thought they could put in my details to obtain and get the cashback, thought there would be no hassle.
Will have to try and sort this now just praying it has no impact on creditors accepting the DMP or will payplan kick up the stink.

does anyone know if there is a number of times that a creditor is "allowed" to call you per day. Have read a few different things in which they have claimed that it is their right to contact you how they choose. Sky are currently calling between 8-10 times a day, every day, and it's doing my head in to put it mildly.
I sent a "polite" request regarding written comms last week which hasn't helped so have just dashed off a harassment letter which I will send today. I have also written to them 3 times (by R/C) enclosing my I & E but have had no response at all - apart from the constant phone calls which I refuse to answer. Anyone have any info on Sky and how long it may take to get a response?
CM,
Hi CM
Can't you access your Sky account online and change your contact details, i.e delete your phone numbers? Don't know if it would work but it might be worth a try.

Not a good day.
Got home tonight and there is a letter waiting for me from CCCS saying that MBNA aren't going to accept my proposed payment as its not enough. CCCS advised that MBNA will probably default me and pass straight to a DCA.
Feeling really down about it as I've got a couple of other credit cards with the same amount outstanding so I'm now wondering if they will do the same
I feel like all the positive thoughts I had have now disappearedLight Bulb Moment 4th January 2009 :eek:Started DMP 1st April 2009 :ADMP mutual support thread member: 267 :j0 -
Dont worry about it Stol, they have to accept it cause thats all you are offering. Tough luck. Give them some time
If they pass it straight to a DCA, they are normally easier to deal with and will accept lower payments with no quibbles anyway.Chin up mate.

Thanks worried Mart. It's just I've heard so many bad things about DCA's I just don't fancy having to deal with them. If MBNA hadn't increased their interest rates to 34.9% they wouldn't need such massive minimum payments!
Do DCA's accept the lower payments althou MBNA won't?Light Bulb Moment 4th January 2009 :eek:Started DMP 1st April 2009 :ADMP mutual support thread member: 267 :j0
