Im desperatly trying to loose weight. Im male 22, I been going to gym for a month around 3-4 times a week, I am a vegie (no fish, or eggs) and now going controlled diet of no sugars and eating small portions more regularly. I have a flabby tummy that i need to tone and get in shape and loose fat/flab generally all over but main concerns are:
    tummy, bum, chest (moobs) :(

When I go gym aftter work I spend time doing following:
    15 mins tredmill power walks,
    10min cross runner
10 min xtrainer on arms only
    10 mins bike,

Now im also adding barbell weights and rowing machines. I dont seem to have lost any really weight.

    PM welcome.

Maybe it's not lack of exercise but what you are eating that's stopping you loosing weight, I went to the gym 3 times a week but as I was eating enough calories for two no weight was lost. There are websites where you can record what you eat and get a calorie value, unfortunately I can't remember the name but I'm sure someone who does will be along soon.

Sary - Last time I had thrush the doctor gave me flurozide?? Something like that, but I haven't bothered phoning for an app, does it go by itself?

I heard EATING natural yoghurt helps restore the natural balance, maybe I'll have some later, really want to avoid more pills if I can!

Buttons - the yogurt is to be 'applied' not eaten! :o usually a tampon dipped in yogurt for a couple of hours at a time can help neutralise the ph balance.

I can't remember what the Dr prescribed, but otherwise I've bought the Canestan oral tablet, or used the pessary/combo pack, which comes with a small tube of canestan cream too, over the counter at a pharmacist, or even from my local Sainsburys. The problem with thrush that's happened due to medication, can be that it has a tendency to linger, in my case anyway. I rarely take any medicines, but for something as uncomfortable as thrush, I'd always go for the quick fix, as it can hang around for ages.

    post nos 1365,1366,1373

Isn't it nice to put a face to a nickname! The meet looked like a lot of fun BTW.:D

I've had my hair cut shorter since that pic, although it's growing out a bit again now. My OH has threatened to pay for me to get my hair done again soon - it's been months since I last went. I think he's started to notice my grey roots more!:rotfl: I blame him for them anyway.

OK, I need to go get a shower before bedtime. Weigh in tomorrow

    Food today was:
    B - yoghurt (I have plenty Buttons! ) banana & strawberries
L - 1 hot x bun, not toasted, not buttered
    Snack - 1 ryvita
    D - h/m beef casserole, 1 small potato boiled.

I tried the Ainsley cup a soup, and it wasn't that nice, so I poured it away. It was the hot n sour one (I think). Not my cup of tea (soup)! I actually had a cup of tea instead, and decided to just have the plain hot x bun, as they're only about 150 cals.

Ahhhhhhh, Well I've been using Canasten cream? I don't think that gets rid of it though? More like stops you wanting to rip your vagina off (LOL)

I'll pop along to the chemist tomorrow and ask for a pill, probably cheaper than a prescription one anyways.

I'm really pleased with myself today, I resisted that Mcdonalds (why does fat and grease smell sooooo goooood?) and also resisted the mini eggs, pringles and dip OH was scarfing tonight.
Wish he wouldn't offer me some either!

Hope he gets a double chin :D
  • Evening all I can report a 9lb Loss for this last week
I can now understand why people choose to take laxatives or throw up after eating not to put on weight. I would not recommend it though felt rough for 5 days and have only had my first proper meal tonight._pale_

Buttons - Thank you so much for making me laugh so much but I do agree that eating the yoghurt will not quite have the same effect.

Victory - Sorry your unwell and not up to the wii fit but your steps are still safe I'm not doing as many as you.

Debaz - Congrats on the job hope the weather is good enough for you to enjoy the lunchtime walks.

To everyone on the porridge updates I think I might even consider trying to make some now. Also I loved the quote from the Magic porridge pot I haven't heard that for ages :o

Some good losses coming in from people Well Done everyone :T

Off to bed now for some well earned shut eye...................
