Just to add to LovelyLisa's post to find the daily newspaper thread (which changes on a daily basis).... use the search function in the green toolbar above and enter "newspaper summary" and search under "forums"....choose the (usually top) post with todays date on it. or use http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/searchStop.php?searchstring=newspaper+summary&type=chat&x=20&y=16
the magazine thread is also linked from the first post in the daily newspaper thread.
It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)
If you use the "search this thread" button at the top of the page, you may find it's been answered already!;)

Can someone help me please? Somewhere on the MSE forums I found a link to apply for a free eukanuba puppy pack. Duly it arrived with a voucher worth up to £13.99. I tried in Tesco but it was not accepted. Where can I use this voucher against my shopping without buying the product?

I do have a dog but he is not a puppy and I wouldn't use eukanuba anyway as they do horrid tests on animals - I am happy to use their voucher not to buy their food and in my own tiny way think of it as a small dent in their profits as an additional protest against their animal testing. I would like the shop to be able to get it's money back though. Thanks for any help.

ps I am a newish dog owner and was horrified to think of feeding my dog food that had been tested on other animals (not just taste tests)I had never even thought about it before and just stumbled on the information after I sent for the pack.

I got a voucher as well and found out tesco did'nt take it, so i went to pets at home and its on special at moment 2 4 £18 she let me put the voucher towards it , so it cost £5 i doubt i would spend £13 on dog food, have gave some to lucy today and she is unsure i think she prefers tesco own brand tinned food but i will keep trying
stand corrected she has just eaten them all

I think you can contact customer support and select the option that says printer limit message but have not printed. I think by doing this they will post to you

You asked, so here you go:

Firstly, post number 2 by R4pture here on the No Chat thread gives the Tesco policy wording which includes the fact you don't have to buy the product:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1346113

The version shown is just a scanned version of a random store's copy of the policy. But believe me that IS the policy and should apply to all Tesco stores (unless the Store Manager has made a decision to restrict coupons for whatever reason such as abuse, or too many internet printed ones being returned unpaid, or if he hates the paperwork, etc).

You won't get a better version of the policy than the one shown as it's not published anywhere (thank goodness or everyone would be at it!). Also IMHO it's not recommended for forum posters to keep emailing Dundee about the coupon policy either so I won't tell you to do that. Waste of time - often they reply with the wrong answer - and even worse it raises the profile of the whole coupon policy to Dundee staff, some of whom make it known that they hate it and see their own employer's policy as coupon abuse!

We don't need questions being asked in Dundee team meetings, let them remain ignorant of the policy and they can't adversely affect it at store level can they? :rotfl:

If your store doesn't know the supposedly 'national' policy then take a stroll to the CS desk at your local store when they are not busy and be ready for them to get it wrong! Then politely ask for a Manager, then another line Manager etc. If you actually get the Store Manager and they won't allow the policy then that's the time to turn around & vote with your feet (the Store Manager's decision is final and Dundee won't act against him/her IMHO).

Oh, and I always say to newbies - DON'T ask the CS staff 'can I ask what your coupon policy is please?' That's such an open question it's just asking for a wrong answer IMHO. Instead, try saying something like you 'know what the Tesco coupon policy is and wonder why the cashiers in this store didn't allow your coupons last time...' Don't let the CS desk staff member then bluster with some rubbish they make up on the spot about having to buy the product or that you can only use ONE coupon, etc., that's simply wrong.

Produce a copied-and-pasted printout of the policy if need be and be confident in your knowledge, tell them you heard it from a friend, know it from another Tesco store, or even read it on the internet - there is NOTHING wrong with a customer being internet-savvy and knowing a policy which is in the public domain (here).

P.S. Ignore the Asda policy wording stated on that thread as it's out of date - they no longer allow coupons unless you buy the product (officially). Some stores are still taking them but it seems that's because they are unaware the policy changed a couple of months ago.
