ICE SAVE - 2nd E Mail Received

Hi Guys,
I still have not received my 2nd email. My wife has received her 2nd email last Friday and had initiated her claimed and also received an email confirmation. I have log-in to my account and I could see the initiate button but didn't really do it for fear that it will cause a problem once I've done it. I'll wait till tomorrow for my 2nd email and if not I would try to initiate a claim. Do you guys think it will be a good a idea? Is there any harm in doing it?0 -

The Initiate button won't work when you use it unless the text screen entitled "Notification" is shown after you have entered your username and passwords and before you receive your account balance. If this does exist you will also have to agree to another text screen called Application after pressing the Initiate button.
Neither of these screens are present unless FSCS have sent out the second email saying you can claim. Of course they might have sent it and it has been blocked by your ISP so no harm in trying to log on. You can't break anything by using Initiate before the second email saying you can now claim arrives. It just won't actually work when you press it until the FSCS has authorised your account for payment of compensation. This only happens on their database when their computer sends out the second email.0 -

You can press the button. You will then get a message saying that you can only initiate your claim is there is further information further down the screen. When I tried it there was no further information on the screen so I will await the second e-mail.0 -
My posts 478 and 480 in the thread for anyone who has not received their second FSCS email show the text of both the Notification and Application text screens from the FSCS that only appear and then have to be agreed to by the account holder once the second email saying you can claim compensation has been sent if you want to claim compensation.

Until the second email is sent all you can do is log on to your account and see the balance and press the Initiate button which then says that the claim function is not yet available if nothing is shown below and importantly the Notification screen also does not shown when you log on before the second email is sent.
If you have not had the second email due to spam filtering etc but get the Notification screen when you log on to your Icesave account they you can now claim your compensation. So to reiterate no harm in trying but if you don't get the Notification screen when logging in then you can't claim.0 -

I really don't understand why they couldn't just have identified whether the account is ready to withdraw more clearly on the web page. It shouldn't be that hard as they are obviously changing the page anyway.Debbie0 -

Still nothing for me unfortunately, but I'm not too worried - would be nice to have some peace of mind though, and get everything sorted
When's the final date they're sending out e-mails? 4th december?0 -
Cash finally in this morning, a relief and shows the system works - great job FSCS for sorting things in 5 weeks. Fingers crossed everyone on here gets their 2nd e-mail soon.MFW #185

Pretty useless poll as some people got their second email as early as 9th November and I received mine on November 13th. None of those dates are listed in it as being possibilities and nor are some of the likely later date ranges for the second email being sent out.0 -

That's because they were in the previous poll for week one, and why this poll is called week 2 “You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
