There are far too many different threads knocking around on this subject now.
One poll for all possible dates would be far more sensible.0 -

Hardly when you only get 10 polling options!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Each option in the poll could have been a date range of a few days instead of a single date.0 -

Although for those of us still waiting, waiting, waiting, it seems to be useful to know what is happening today, rather than during a few days around today....Every rule has an exception.......:rolleyes20 -
I haven't received the second email yet but this seems to be the latest news ....
"Using an online claims process, the FSCS said its initial phase - focusing on returning savings to 10,000 customers, had gone well, with the first raft of customers receiving compensation yesterday".
Story in full here ...

10,000 in one week? That doesnt seem very many to me. 10,000 a week and we will be well short of the 200,000 to 300,000 customers...!0

Ah! So they intend sending an armada of rafts. In the meantime, should they not issue life jackets to keep us afloat! :mad:In memory of Chris Hyde #8670 -
It is clear, or certainly was when I claimed. When you log in, the first thing that you see is an FSCS information page, which you have to click through (via a 'continue' button from memory) in order to actually see your accounts and the initiate link.
My comment was regarding accounts that are not available for release (I haven't got to the state you describe yet and was only aware of it when recently reading this thread). Why not make it more obvious on the IceSave site itself by, say, some text (or disabling the initiate button)?Debbie0 -
they better be sending out more than 10k emails this week or we will be sat waiting for god knows how long.hopefully they decided to send out a small amount to make sure it worked ok in the firs tweek and will send more out now (well a girl can dream lol)0

If that story is correct and they can't improve on it then this lady will need to go back to the maths class IMHO!Loretta Minghella, said the initial payout, 'honours our commitment to commence payments in the second week of November, and we remain on track to offer compensation to the vast majority of Icesave customers in November.'0
