It depends on what you are eating, if you are eating 5 lots of fruit and vegetables and drinking 8 glasses of water you probably should be going more..

Well done on the weight loss this week, how do the jeans feel?:D

Don't know - I'm going to try them when I dye my hair!!! :) They were a little tight when I bought them so hopefully they'll be a bit more comfortable now. (hubby thought they looked fine  )

I eat fruit for breakfast, (including dried prunes!) veggy soup or jacket for lunch and usually meat/2 veg or pasta/rice or fish type things for dinner. I snack on fruit during the day. I drink lots of water, probably not 8 glasses, but I drink fruit teas instead of normal tea. I have a milky horlicks/chocolate before bedtime so I can get calcium.

When following diets I've always gone a little 'less', ahem, but I suddenly realised I hadn't felt the 'urge' all week!

Hubby says I'm not eating enough fibre, but I'm not sure what veggies/fruit has more fibre in than others?

Just a quick post as i feel a bit of a fraud joining you all so i will say my peice and go. When the doctor suggested i give Xenical a go i was sceptical to say the least. I told her i dont eat fat, and use very little in the way of dairy products but she persuaded me to give it a go anyway.

I am amazed to say the least, at the hidden fat that is in food. I dont eat pies, cakes, crisps and all the foods associated with obesity, and all my meat is lean and grilled. The only thing i know i eat with fat in is the odd bar of dairy milk but thats not every day but i have lost a stone since November. :j

This isnt a Xenical plugging post (its side effects can be pretty horendous at first anyway), its just to remind you of the hidden fat in the food you eat. I am amazed at how much weight i have lost considering i was pretty adamant i stuck to a fat free diet.

My hubby became my personal hairdresser the othe night, putting highlights in my hair - don't tell his mates though!

Alfietinker, maybe you need a little more 'solid' fibre. Yes, there's lots in fruit and veg, but not necessarily the bulk you need to keep moving? I don't know, doesn't seem a lot of fibre apart from the F&V in what you describe.

The new F2 plan 'summary' is now being given away with AllBran as well as Bran Flakes. Might be some tips in that, I think I remember some guidance on how much fibre there was in various things.

I'll tell you what does it for me - FIGS! We often seem to have a bag of them at work, I love 'em, but spend quite a while away from my desk for the rest of the day! :rotfl:

  • Mmmm I think you're right. I'm going to start eating a bowl of branflakes for breakfast and perhaps have some ryvitas with my soup. I'm following WW 'No Count' so can't eat bread freely ! although I do treat myself to scrambled eggs on toast at the weekend ! wholemeal of course :) I think I'll start eating bananas too, and perhaps change to wholemeal rice/pasta.

  • Hi everyone,

well done to all who have lost weight this.

I have lost 1lb this week I am keping a food diary, but exercise is still lacking, will try harder this week.

Jo4 I use tanita scales to measure body fat, I think it measures it as a percentage, I've had the scales a few years now, so I am not sure which model it is
