Paid some cheques into bank via post office (saving much longer drive to nearest bank branch).

Cycled into work so NPD. Cancelled out though by not bringing in lunch today:rolleyes: . Home cooked tea tonight so won't need to spend anything else today.
Work expenses paid today so I've finally made this month's overpayment:T . I've got a large credit card bill to pay this month so wanted to be totally sure there would be enough in my account first.0 -
Did my first Lightspeed survey tonight and have a load more lined up for me to do. Every little helps, as someone else said recently!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Sold another book on Green Metropolis
Sold another item on ebay. Bought 6 for 22.50, now sold 3 for £27, so in profit with 3 still to sell
Tried to make overpayment on mortgage but payment option down , will do 1st thing tomorrow.
Well done everyone :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Today I dispatched my first ebay items! Both buyers paid immediately, I've packaged the items really nicely in tissue paper and ribbon inside the jiffy bag so fingers crossed for a smooth process.
I will also have dinner from what's already in
Water our veg patch
Check banking
I can't believe how much this MSe thing has gotten under my skin... I have my regular coffee with a colleague coming up and I'm agonising about whether to have my favourite latte or take a bog standard one down from the kitchen... I am now officially obsessed!MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

Thanks cake21! I was pretty nervous before (just have a look at the ebay board it makes your hair curl the stories on there) but the 5p listing day finally made me do it! Both buyers paid instantly and I dispatched today all nicely packaged so I think all's ok (touches wood  ) The next cut price listing day I think I'll probably chance another couple of items... (as you can tell am a naturally cautious type - too cautious DH would say!)

Went on quidco to do Snapfish Promo (£3.50 sign up, 20 free prints). Found out I had an account with that email, so logged in to other quidco account..... discovered £57 in there :T . What a muppet I am, had forgotten all about it (was an insurance query I had raised 6 months ago). Needless to say have now entered bank details but will probably miss June payrun  . Still, nice surprise, even if it is concrete proof marbles are leaking away
.
Also posted Green Metropolis book & ebay parcel. 2 other (low value) items are selling on ebay. Finally made £595 transfer to mortgage. Received £25 M&S voucher (for taking out life insurance. Cash back still pending though  ). Had £6 off £30 Tesco shop plus £2 off, used them and got another £6 off voucher so all in all not a bad day.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

The Oh went shopping and instead of buying Coke decided we'd drink squash that's been in the cupboard for ages. Also instead of buying exnsive yoghurts he went for the really cheap ones. We worked out that these 2 things alone will save us about £40 a month :eek:0

One I should have posted earlier and forgot. If you are a member of a recognised Professional Institute related to your job and you pay for the membership yourself (you don't reclaim from your employer!) then you can tell the HMRC and they can adjust your tax code.
Now the good news, after trying to encourage OH for some time because she has to pay nearly £200 pa for her Membership, she got £180 refunded for several previous years and her tax code is now modified for the future :j0
