i know i'm going to be berated for this, but i bring up an earlier point.
why do people spend this sort of money on ebay?helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
Rail-Blue Charters is another company that appears to be run/connected with the Rainbow Horizons & Prestigerail company - Again Steer clear
I've just come across this thread after Prestigerail was advertised on the railway forum I run.
Rail-Blue Charters is NOT connected with Prestigerail or the other sites mentioned.
While I don't know the owner of RBC personally, I do know of him, and his company is completely legitimate.
RBC runs in connection with Cargo-D (who have their own stock, poor photo of it can be seen here), and they do run charters.
If I can provide any more help, then feel free to PM me.

'Prestige Rail Services Ltd' was set up by the same individuals that run Xcite Destinations Ltd (aka Xcite Travel) & Rainbow Horizons Ltd - the company's that ripped off hundreds of people on Ebay and are still not refunding these customers for trips not received, even though they are under investigation by Trading Standards.
If you review both sites you will find that Prestige Rail & Rail-Blue Charters do in fact have a partnership and whilst Rail-Blue Charters may be legitimate, unfortunately they are partnering with companies which unfortunately have an extreme amount of bad debt as they are still refusing to pay back hundreds of customers that they sold Non-existent trips to, therefore maybe they should reconsider who they do business with?
You will also find that if you ring both of the main telephone numbers on www.prestigerail.com & www.rail-bluecharters.co.uk they lead to the same place so in my opinion that is further proof that they are connected.
If in the unlikely case that this is a legitimate business don't you think the priorities should be changed and refunds given to the customers of their sister companies, prior to starting new ventures?
Xcite - Feel free to explain why you are not in a position to REFUND, and why there is not one person who has left a comment stating that a refund has been issued? No excuses please.....!
David Perks - it may be wise for you to contact Rail-Blue Charters to allow them to comment?0 -

jj453 - I spoke with Nathan @ Xcite last night, and was promised I would see my refund by Friday - I will let you know what happens. Regards SUSYQ410 -
Right, I've had another look at Prestige Rail and Rail-Blue Charter sites and noticed something else ....
http://www.prestigerail.com/index.html - Registered address is in London
http://www.rail-bluecharters.co.uk/contact_us
http://www.cargo-d.co.uk/ - Both registered in Haywards Heath.
As I said in my previous post, I have contacted Mark Honey (Cargo-D and RBC) and passed on all these details to him. I'm now just waiting for him to reply to me. and/or post in here.
EDIT (to avoid double posting) :: With being a rail enthusiast (no anorak jokes please), and an admin of a railway forum, I do hear about a lot of things. Mark Honey has been nothing but sincere and helpful when post about the various activities of Cargo-D and RBC, and he is well known in the railway industry generally.
Prestige Rail however, no one seems to know anything about them, yet they have a full tour calender, but none are listed on www.railtourinfo.co.uk. In fact, Prestige Rail, are not listed on the tour operator page, another thing against them.0 -

Don't be fooled by the registered addresses for Prestige Rail Services Ltd, Xcite Destinations or Rainbow Horizons Ltd - Hundreds of companies use this address to register their businesses. They are not addresses where you could actually go and visit the companies or their representatives, Purely used to make them seem official and to get them registered on Companies house.0 -
My fiance bought me the Paris trip from Xcite as a birthday present. I even met up with Nathan and the other director, Danny, with a view to possibly doing some work for them. Even after spending over 2 hours with them, face to face, I still didnt realise there was anything wrong. I feel so stupid.
Nathan has rung me and emailed me promising refunds, one of which was to be sent by special delivery to my work's address as I would have been away on holiday. Needless to say none of these have arrived. I have reported the matter both to the police and trading standards, and will quite happily go to court for the prosecution if this ever happens.
I am past expecting a refund now, I just want to ensure this stops happening to other people, and Nathan and co get their comeuppance.
I am so cross at how little both Ebay and Paypal have been prepared to do in this matter as I didnt appreciate this was scam until the 90 days were past where Paypal would have refunded my money. Do you realise though that people were actually emailing Paypal asking them to let anyone who had bought from Xcite know that this was a scam, in order that they could get their money back. Needless to say Paypal didnt do this.0 -

There is no procedure for paypal to do this. Ebay might have suspended them if enough people had reported them, but no-one who had paid months previously would have been told. (Can't remember if they are suspended yet)My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

I too emailed & spoke to several different people at Paypal/Ebay, however as the company is just too big, you don't actually speak to anyone who can do their job properly. Trading Standards should also be investigating their Negligence in this matter. This seems to have caught up with them once before for a similar Scam in Australia (see link below)
