I was in my local Woolies last night and they were putting up a display of Acer 32" HD Ready LCD Tvs. There was no price up so I asked the assistant who said £499.99. She said they had six and were expecting them to go over the weekend. It sounded like a bargain to me so I've reserved one!
Sorry didn't get the model number but the only online review I found for a 32" Acer LCD (3201W) gave it a decent write up. Am I right or have I reserved a 32" turkey?
The website shows a "Technosonic" 32" LCD tv which looks a bit different from the instore Acer at the same price.
Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!
  • I checked the Acer UK website and the only 32" LCD they list also has built in Freeview, guide price is £765. I cant believe thats the woolies one but if it is its a bargain!! Ebuyer have same model for £727 but no other Acer 32"

edit: the 3201w review from 2005 is favourable also-certainly not a turkey!

The cartons all said acer in big letters, the one tv on display has an acer badge and when I called to reserve one I said the Acer 32" and the guy confirmed it. I expected to see it on the website but was surprised to see the technosonic one which is not the same as the Acer one on display at my localWoolies in Norwich. I'll be goign along to picvk mine up tomorrow.
